Yahoo is down for everyone and if you had taken the time to do a search first, you'd realise that about 207503748663 other people have asked this question before you...

I would recommend everyone send Yahoo Answers feedback via the link at the bottom of the main page. Feel free to use my feedback below:
Apparently there are some problems with Yahoo Mail and Messenger. I don't understand is why it is such a secret. I would think every Yahoo! related site would note they are experiencing technical difficulties with these services.
I work IT and if we had an outage for half an hour let alone half a day you know we would have it emblazoned on our web site and if we didn't someone would be looking for a job.

At what point are you having trouble? If you're signed in you should be able to get to your mail, if you can see your mail but when you click to open a message it won't open it could be your browser or server is slow (It could also be Yahoo but doubtful) If you had trouble signing on you will have to wait (I think) 24 hours from when you signed on to get to view your mail. This is to stop people, who are not you, from reading your mail. In other words if you took 5 attempts to get your password right, they lock you out of your mail so if it's not you you're privacy is still protected.
