after that our new immigration policies would be to just charge all immigrants a fee at the border. The border crossings would have a "fast food" type menu and all the immigrants can go up and "place an order".Lets say they pay :
$20 for a day to work in the US.And the empolyer would pre-selected and they would also be responsible for returning the immigrant to the border. They would also have to pay par wages.
Lets say citizenship would cost $5000 and the person(s) would have to "order" in English. And they would have to have pre paid for a house and have a job waiting. There could be specials for families, lets say a 2 for 1.They would also have to home school their kids...in English.
Visas would be $200 a year. The employer for these ppl would be pre-selected and in the case the employee became laid off or quit the employer would be responsible fr returning the immigrant. The immigrant would also have to be paid wages equal to what an American would make .

In all cases the employer would be responsible for furnishing health insurance to ppl that "order" visas and citizeship. There would be no more resident alien status, you wopuld either be a citizen or a "visitor".

Your reciting the Pence plan, or 'Amnesty Light' in your own words, and that is unacceptable. There can be no worker program until after the border is secure, deportation en masse, our laws are followed, and America is reaffirmed as a soverign nation including English as our official language. And of course voter fraud and other laws must be enforced, including no more anchor babies.
Anything less we won't go for. We will, however, continue to fight for our country even if the final bill falls short.
I would rather see me picking crops and businesses go out of business before one illegal crossed the border or worse got a job
Uh, you fall short in one point: the Senate bill REQUIRES BY LAW that illegals/guestworkers get paid MORE than Americans. I know it's almost 800 pages and has alot to it, but it's all bunk.

Pancha had you been around in the 80's when the new immigration laws were passed document fraud was at a all time. Fake papers of working,of address to show these people were there 6-10 years in order to obtain citizenship in short they are willing to lie, cheat and steal to accomplish their goals and what your suggesting will not work there are to many dishonest people for it to.

Facetiousness aside, Bush's plan all along was for an open border policy. There are photos of him gladhanding and flag waving in Mexico in 2001.
Whoever groomed him for this office lied to him about how easy it would be. I don't believe he ever expected to encounter the outrage of U.S. citizens.
He'll make it as easy as he can for Mexicans to enter this country. If he can't get this done while he's in office, the next president will, that means Dem or Rep.

I say you are still missing the point.
GO HOME AND START OVER THE RIGHT WAY OR STAY THE HELL OUT!
The majority opinion seems to be GET OUT AND STAY OUT!
They have ZERO respect for our laws much less our country and since it is ours I say we have the right to defend it.
And if that means the AMERICAN PEOPLE have to take matters out of the governments hands and take them into ours WE CAN and WE SHOULD!
OF THE PEOPLE FOR THE PEOPLE
This still applies and as far as I am concerned it has gone on long enough!

We already have a legal immigration system that works fine.
The problem is people who break the law.
I don't want to change the law for people who have already been playing by the rules.

That sounds very simple, but politicians special interest, businesses, and lawyers would only find a way to complicate things and find away to bet themselves money and and benefits and assume little or no responsibility for the workers.
