You can never tell what brand they're using, or they try to hide it. Why is that?

Whoever is sponsoring the show probably doesn't want them showing brand names of their competitors.

They do show the ones for a paid sponsor. But some of them do not want a certain sponsor because of some left wing political crap, like Campbell's Soup.

Because it would be an endorsement of that product. If you do see a product brand name, the manufacturer probably paid for product placement.

Quite possibly because they aren't using a specific product. Lot's of chef's like to use ingredients from scratch. If they need a spice, they'll have it GROUND themselves. Like pepper and paprika, etc. (I LOVE it that way). You can do it too. Just buy a glass bottle with a cap that's made to sprinkle seasonings, and crush, dice, or mince your own seasonings. ;)

Its because they dont want to be sued by showing the product. They can only show the products of companies that sponsor them.
