I've had a fly in my house for a couple days that I can't catch...and my dog has been acting super strange...very nervous and she hides in her cage (totally not like her) wasn't sure if it was because of the fly or what. Has this happened to anyone else's pup?

The opposite happened with my dog... he chased the fly around and eventually caught it.. and ate it.. Maybe the flies have been biting the inside of her ears? check for sores.. she might be fearing the fly because of this. hope you find out whats wrong!

We have several dogs that come to our dog day care who react to flies. Some try to catch them. some act like they are afraid the fly will hurt their butts (the haunted butt syndrome) some become obsessed with the wall when a fly is flying around.

Yes, but not to that extent. The doggies I know like to chase them and snap at them. Is there a storm coming or one going on now or is someone shooting off fireworks. Who knows. Just go tell her it's going to be okay. You'll get that fly so it won't bother her any more. Cute puppy dog.

my chihuaha is terrified of flies....especially ones that fly by her little butt. she can't stand it. we think its more the sound than the actual fly.
