Just went kayaking today for the first time with a wonderful woman. We stopped at one of those "Fresh SeaFood!!" stands and I bought a a few crabs for dinner. They're completely whole, but they've already been cooked. I know I'm a dummy for thinking I could pull this off, but now I'm desperate! I'm pretty sure that the crab has to be "gutted" or "Shelled" in a specific way, but I don't have a friggin' clue...
Any help, advice, or criticism is welcome; please just make it quick!!!

This website has a great guide on how to prepare fresh crab: http://www.waitrose.com/food_drink/wfi/ingredients/fish/0206090.asp

If you haven't already, while you're looking up ways to gut your crab, put them in a bowl of ice, in the fridge to thwart bacteria growth.

pull the flap that looks like his chest or tummy off and get out all the crap out of the cavity and wash it, after that if thier already cooked make a salad and serve in the crabs hollow chest, the meat is in the rest of the shell!

GOOD LUCK,

they should have been cleaned ... de-gilled, liver and junk removed ... by the people that were selling them.

i would order a pizza ... cause the last thing you need is getting your "wonderful woman" sick!
