Frontline has worked the best for us. We had a huge st.bernard/rotwieller/doberman mix dog. He got ticks really bad, but frontline got rid of them all.

Zodiac flea and tick spray is great for helping with ticks and fleas. And best ofall its affordable and only needs to be applyed once every two months. It also works on cats, I should know ive got about 23 barn cats and kittens and four large breed dogs and it works wonders.

frontline or advantage k9 plus.
get flea and tick killer for the yard. after you use that sprinkle lime in the yard. fleas and ticks do not like lime and they don't cross it. you can get it at home and garden store.
