Yesterday it just randomly shut down and now I can't get it to start again. It just says boot disc failure, insert system disck and press enter. But when I tried to do that it wouldn't work. Also sometimes it makes this weird clicking sound. Thank you for your help!!!

Were you running an illegal copy of Windoze XP? If so, then you've been busted. If not, you probably just got munched by a virus. Get your windows cd out and start reloading the OS.
It could also be that your hard drive has seized up. In that event, get a new HD and reinstall the OS on it. To see if it is the HD, boot from CD and try to access the HD.

sounds like your hard drive crashed (clicking sound). As a last resort, you can try booting with your boot disk/CD - Hard drives aren't expensive - but you may want to think about having a 3rd party retrieve info off your current hard drive to transfer info. Sounds like you need a new HD. Can you boot to safe mode? I believe it's F7 when it starts to boot - but if it doesn't boot from the CD - it's probably the hard drive.

Unfortunately, sounds like a hard disk crash. The clicking is the hard drive. Hope you have your system backed up!

Virus, or your harddrive just decided to die. Try putting in the system disc that came with your computer in, then start up your PC.
