First of all, G-d is already the best friend you can ever have. His love for you goes beyond your wildest imagination. You are always on His mind, & all His thoughts towards you are for your good...to give you a future & to bring hope into your life.
If you want to develop your end of the relationship, I would suggest you begin reading the Scriptures. As you do, you'll start to see & (hopefully) understand His ways & how He interacts with us. You'll also begin to learn what pleases Him, and the different ways He speaks to His children. Sometimes He speaks through the Scriptures. Other times, He places an impression inside your heart that kindof prompts you to lean one way or another. Still, other times, He may speak to you through your dreams or circumstances. He has many ways to communicate to us, but most people are too busy to spend the time developing their spiritual ear to His voice. It does take some time and/or discipline, but obedience & sensitivity will cause you to hear from Him more quickly.
In the privacy of your bedroom or car, you can speak to Him. He will hear you, & if you believe, He will answer you, too! His ear is bent towards you, & His heart is, too. Speak whatever is on your heart or mind; He doesn't care, so long as you fellowship with Him. He simply wants to spend time with you & love on you.
Welcome to His family!

God doesn't talk, well not directly. God (or at least Guardian Angels) guide, shove, twist, turn, even let you fall and break your arm. It's all for a reason and it's up to you to figure it all out. There are few instructions.

Free will. You choose to go in that direction and see what adventure waits or you don't

Right and Wrong, Good and Evil, you must fully undestand what is correct and incorrect.

Do the right thing.

God will not tell you that. It is up to you to learn that. The Bible is a tool, so is live's experience, so are the icks you feel inside.

All of that is God talking to you. It's a collection that is your life.

God nudges, pushes, shoves and then waits to see what you learned in your life and how you act, behave and do.

Don't look for rewards, there are none.

If you do things for rewards then you are talking to Satan, not God and Satan is a good talker, with a lot of wonderful things to say!

Being a "friend" of God is a high calling. Only a few people in the Bible were called friends of God. But that was in the Old Testament. Now you can become a son of God by putting your trust in Jesus Christ and asking to receive God's holy Spirit in your heart.

the most important thing you could do right now is seek God whole Heartidly. I found a few verses that might help you so im gonna jot them down in this answer and they are

Luke 11:9 And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you ; seek, and ye shall find ; Knock, and it shall be opened to you.
Deuteronomy 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find Him, if thou see Him with all thy heart and all thy soul.

Pray without ceasing God does hear you. I dont know if you are saved or not, but I wanted you to know that God loves you and all you have to do is cry out to Him and He will come to you. Here is prayer you can say and it goes like this

" God I know im not perfect and that ive done wrong and im sorry and I need you in my life I cant do it alone anymore...I want you as savior and Lord of my life come into my heart and life now ...I want to have a relationship with you. In your mighty name Amen.

God wants to have a close personal relationship with you too.....He will talk to you and maybe at times it will come from a feeling you have in your heart and sometimes it even comes from those around you that God himself will speak through and they will pass on what He has said. You will always feel God and Yes hear him too......it says in the bible " be still and know that I am God" So, just be still pray and then listen because its in the quiet times that you
can hear Him best.

God bless you and I'll say a prayer for you.

You first must accept Jesus as your savior and repent of your sins, and invite Jesus into your heart and life. Then you can start a relationship with HIm through prayer and studying of the bible evey day. God will not look upon sin, so make sure that you always ask for forgivness of your sins before you talk to God or to Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
only Gen 22:2

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God

The closer you become to God and to Jesus the less you are who you started out to be, and more of who Jesus knows you can be in Him.
God bless you always

I've been reading books about angels and spirituality. They all pretty much say to just talk to God and your angels. Talk to God any time you want - driving to work, taking out the trash, etc. I usually do it after I shut out the lights, right before bed. But just talk to God and he'll listen. He's always there and he wants to have a relationship with you.

You first have to accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour, and receive the Holy Spirit by baptism. I cannot say how I know, but the Holy Spirit is the one doing the talking.

You don't really expect to get a serious answer, do you? Nobody knows God, and if they claim to....it's usually a religious fanatic quoting from a man-made fantasy book.
