I've tried all the ways you've seen here and for me they didn't work!. What did work for me was, For dry beans, you need to soak them for several hours or over night till soft. Drain the water and refill with fresh cold water just covering the beans, add a couple of t-spoons of salt if you want (I do). Cook the beans by bringing them to a boil for about five (5) minutes, stop cooking the beans, drain the water and refill water and cook again, repeat this way for three times. Continue with your recipie and have no fear of a gas attack for you or your guests. For cooked beans, I just us'em. Happy cooking.

Cook them with potatoes. The potatoes absorb the gas producing whatever, and you toss them. The beans are then safe to eat. Thant's what I heard, never tried it. I like the stinky natural kind.

Try soaking them in cold water if they are the dry variety and don't use that water to cook them in. Rinse and use new water to cook. If they are canned / cooked already there is a product called Beano that is a liqued. I couple of drops and no gas!

If they're canned, you can make them less likely to give you gas by rinsing and draining them before cooking. If they're dry, soak them overnight.
