The farther away from the source the more distorted the message.
The game is usualy played in a group, one person says something like peter piper pick a peck of peppers, or something like that and whisper it into the ear of the person next to them and that persons repeats what they think they heard to the next and so on. It usually ends up something like "purple monkey dishwasher" or some nosense like that.
anyhow on to my question, although most of you will not read this far, do you think something has been lost in translation with the bible?

I think so. It was written, translated and scribed by men with agendas. Which ones can you trust?

Oh and about the game: I used to screw it up on purpose. Totally change it. It was funny. Good thing I wasn't a hizb.

I think with any book that is taken out of it's original language something is lost in translation. What if the culture doesn't have a word for something in the original text? They then use the closest word to it in the new language but that changes the meaning. In 2000 years the bible has had a lot of time to be handled and revised and even though it may not be entirely intentional meaning has changed.

I like the game telephone. It's fun. And I did read to the end, you had the question about the translation of the bible but I don't feel like saying anything else.

I love that ! :)
the only reason i read so far was because the title was so intriguing, and I wondered what question you would have that could go with that without being reported as nonsense gibberish.
You're clever.
P.S.
(I'm sorry.. I don't talk about that book. I just don't. It's a subject best left untouched in this house, lol)

Yes, absolutely! That why you must study the bible in its original language, in order to determine what the author was actually saying.

No, the bible is as true as the statement you started with:

Nipple Monkey Turk
