I am pagan, and in my religion, we don't persecute others for their differences. Honey, don't worry. Everyone is a sinner. To me (not being Christian) it doesn't make sense, since God "created man in his image", and it is a proven fact that homosexuality is hardwired into your brain. Don't listen to the fundamentalists, go with what is in your heart. I am sure you are a great person, gay or not. Sexualtiy doesn't make who you are! It is simply a small piece in the intricate puzzle!

AS A CHRISTIAN, I do not hate anyone. There is a saying, love the sinner, hate the sin. God loves us all, and wants us to love all, but he doesn't like the sin, and nor should we. And yes, according to the bible, it is a sin. That is not a judgment on an individual, but merely a fact being stated by me. I have never told anyone they are going to hell, because I am not God, I do not know where a person is going. Even the most vile of human beings after committing every sin known to man and God, can repent and ask God for forgiveness and be forgiven. All Christians do not run around telling all gays that they are going to hell, just as all gays aren't child molesters. It is blanket statements such as yours that appear more judgmental than those being criticized.

No need to feel guilty. Homosexuality appears naturally in many other species, not just humans. According to Christians, these species were created also.
Homosexuality has a very long history. It became a sin when MAN labeled it a sin. Otherwise, it is nature.
By the way, look at all the other 'sins' Christians commit and they are equally wrong such as gluttony...ah let's super size that so I can keep my size 40 pants! Why don't Christians hate adulterer or fornicator the same? They don't. If your son has premarital sex with a girl it isn't taken as the same kind of 'sin' as if it was with a man.

"sigh" Christians do not hate gays, okay? Can please dispense with that already? Until you have encountered every Christian, you cannot in all honesty make such a blanket statement. Secondly, you say you know homosexuality is a sin, and you are okay with that? Problem is, God isn't okay with sin of any kind. Jesus didn't say repent! except for the sins you are okay with. We all have feet of clay, we are all sinners. If any Christian tells you otherwise, they are deceived and calling the Bible a lie. We are called to repent (turn around and go the other way) from our sins, no matter what they may be. God cannot allow sin in His presence.
If I were to meet you, I would love you as a human and creation of God. If I knew you were homosexual, I would warn you of what the Bible says out of concern and love, but I would not reject you as a person. Please do not judge all believers by a few unkind and untactful ones.

well matthew 7:1 (i think that's it) isn't an official commandment but anyway. in the "law book" of the bible it says not to lie with another man and that it's a sin.
Some (not all because I'm roman catholic) christians hate gays because of a few things, the way they were raised and because they feel the need to enforce their beliefs on people.
Personally I don't believe being gay is a sin because I believe it is born in you, not learned. I think God could not make a mistake like that, I believe he loves and forgives all his children.

The Christians dont hate gays. Because they tell you it is wrong does not mean they hate you. Only God can judge you but there are Christians out there trying to steer you in a better direction. Pray that God help you with temptation to this sin. Stay away from sex. If I had a drug problem, should I hang around drug attics to make me right? If I wanted to have sex with children, does that mean I should because I have the desire? If I am having sex before marriage, am I doing right? No....everyone has temptations to something that isnt right....dont give into those tempatations but keep clear of them. I love you in Christ and tell you in love. God bless. Keep up the faith in God and repent. God forgives or there would be no one in heaven.

I am afraid I don't know which commandment you are saying we are breaking IF we hated gays. Personally, vague generalizations indicating ALL CHRISTIANS doing anything is somewhat reaching. And who said God hates gays? God loves all sinners. He hates their sin. It doesn't matter whether you are gay, a liar, a thief, a child molester, a murderer. Sin is sin. We are commanded to love the sinner but reject the sin. If you believe we are judging you I believe it is possible you could be projecting your own guilt knowing that you are sinning against a HOLY GOD! I don't hate gays. I have a sibling who is gay. That doesn't mean I accept the sin. Just the sinner. Please don't judge Christians for your own beliefs. WE may not be judging you at all.

Well you are judging by unfairly steriotyping right now.
I am a Christian among many Christians that do not hate gays...
All sexuall immorality is sin, including homo-sexualty
All men sin, but Christians cannot accept any type of sinfull lifestyle...
Jesus paid the price for mens sins, so that they could be saved from eternal separtation from God...
You don't go to heaven by doing good... but by accepting Jesus as your Savior..
He provided the only Way to God, Good deeds don't erase sins, but Jesus will pardon them If you accept Him...
YOu cannot justify your sinful lifestyle no matter what it is... God condemns it, He hates sin but He loves the sinner...
All of those "False Christians" that say otherwise need to read up or pray up, cause something ain't right.

The Bible doesn't tell people to hate gays. The Bible says they will know you by your love. I dare say that these peoplethat you are thinking or that are calling themselves Christian are not in reality a true follower of Christ. Christ commands us to love one another. Not to judge with hate and anger but to love. As a Christian and a baptist seminary graduate might I just say that I am truly embarrassed that people call themselves Christians when they have no idea what that term truly means and demands of each of us. God doesn't hate gays or any other group of people or individuals. I wouldn't send my son to die for anyone that I hated. God loves all people. What about the woman at the well (adulterer), Noah's son (incestuous guy on guy relationship), Saul turned Paul (he was a murderer). I say that these "Christians" need to read their Bible again starting in Genesis! God is all about love!

In Matthew 7:2-5, Jesus warns against judging someone else for their sin when you yourself are sinning even worse. That is the kind of judging Jesus commanded us not to do. If a believer sees another believer sinning, it is their Christian duty to lovingly and respectfully confront the person with their sin (Matthew 18:15-17). This is not judging, but rather pointing out the truth in hope of bringing repentance in the other person (James 5:20). We are to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). We are to proclaim what God's Word says about sin. 2 Timothy 4:2 instructs us, "Preach the Word ; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage — with great patience and careful instruction." We are to "judge" sin, but always with the goal of presenting the solution for sin and its consequences - the Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6).

I don't understand that myself.
Jesus said Love your neighbor like you love yourself. That was a "death bed" request for his disciples and everyone else!
Now certainly if we were at that table we can IMAGINE shock and dismay:
"But Jesus, across from my parents house is a house of ill repute and whores, you can't expect us to love them!"
"But Jesus, the man at the end of my street is a guard to the Pherises! You can't expect me to love him!"
"But Jesus, behind my brothers' house is where they hold cock fights for money, you can't expect us to love them!"
NOT a single person spoke. No one questioned Jesus.
Jesus also said Love Your Enemy the MOST!
HAte is a pretty strong word and we must give some slack. They may not HATE you personally, only what you stand for and what they think you do.
There is a difference and they probalby pray for your soul.
Most TRUE homosexuals I've talked to, knew what they were by age 5.
By age 10 there knew what the closet was. They knew they were not only different, but not acceptable to general society. Not even to their own families.
Some say predestination exists. If that is so, then are homosexuals predestined by God? Are you a part of God's plan? Are you here for a reason? Are you a test?
I decided long ago not to question God's wisdom on most things. If I reach heaven and have any unresolved issues I may press for an audience with God and Jesus warrantees me one! Only through Jesus can you reach the father.
If I have any unresolved issues I'll use that avenue.
Gays, girls who hate sex or are repulsed by it. People who violate the 10 commandments and get into heaven. Those would be unresolved issues.
If someone, in MY mind, unfairly gets a GET OUT OF JAIL FREE CARD, I'd like some knowledge on the matter.
YOu may have a get out of jail free card! Did you ever think of that! If GOD willed you feel as you do, then you might have a get out of jail free card.
The next matter is, does GOD want to see how YOU and YOUR FREE WILL behave?
I, in my belief system (and it's only my system, I speak for no one else), feel HOMOSEXUALS and HETROSEXUALS are bound by the same rules.
All forms of gratuituous sex with other people, done simply to "get your rocks off" and for no other reason is not a very good thing.
That may cost your your get out of jail free card, just like INDICRIMINATE FORNICATION may cost a Born Again Christian or Catholic their out of their GET OUT OF JAIL FREE CARD.
Now, because you are denied martial rights, does that make you indicriminate? Not sure. Multiple partners does, yes. To both HOMO and HETRO.
You pick one, because you like em, not because like their breasts or their thingamabob, but because you like THEM and you stick with them.
The ultimate question is not what your orientation is, but how you live your life.
That is up to you.
The rules are the same.
Free will. Good. Evil. Right. Wrong.
Do the right thing.
