My roots have started growing in and they are a dark chesnut brown. The difference is very noticable. I want my natural color back, but I don't want to dye my hair to dark or dry it out.

What should I do?

Also a here's a tip, never use sun-in on dark hair.

Ive Done That,
When I Was Little.
I Had Dark Brown Hair =]
Anyway,
Dye Your Hair A Light Brown
Or Normal Brown
Not Dark Brown
Might Go Blackish

I used sun in also when i was younger, and i also have very dark hair. I had to wait for my roots to grow out then i dyed my hair a shade darker than my natural color, since dye seems to fade after a few shampoos.

To much coloring can damage your hair. Eventually it will grow out. If you really can't stand it, see your beautician. Don't try another product on your own.

wait a little longer,,because you might end up drying your hair,, 2 months is so short for you to apply chemical again to your hair

Yes, Sun-In was designed with blondes in mind.

I know there's a joke to be had in there somewhere, but I can't think of one.
