Well, sure!
As long as it is small enough to fit. Seeing as how a microwave is a closed environment, I feel like anything can go in there and not get out too easy. Have fun

No. there are usually metallic elements throughout rocks. It will explode. and concentrated heat can explode the rock from the inside.
