Cats can't digest cow's milk easily, so yes, the milk could make him act weird. Keep an eye on him and call a vet or emergency vet if he gets worse (since it could be something else entirely). He may just be exhausted from all the excitement of being in a new place.

Kittens and cats do sleep alot. Especially kittens as they are still growing. Cats are nocturnal animals and no matter how we try to get them to be awake when we are awake they still sleep. When you got him from the shelter was he still nursing from his mother? you could try wrapping or covering him with a towel for a little bit of warmth. and maybe even an alarm clock for the ticking for company. But I do suggest taking him to the vet for an appointment for a physical to make sure he is healthy. He is probally okay, but don't give him anymore people milk. There is milk out there especially for cats and then only give a little bit. Water and kitten food is the best. If he gets wprse in another day then take him to an emergency vet clinic, but I think he is probally just wprn out from the excitement of a new person, new surroundings etc.

First!!! Has he been de-wormed? The shelter is a great place to find a new companion but I would still take him to my vet. Second, he is still a baby. Babies sleep. Don't worry you will have plenty to deal with in about 2 mos if not sooner. Having him tested for feline hiv is very important to. If you can I would also recommend he be an indoor cat depending on where you live. Don't give milk from the frig he needs kitty milk called KMR.

You either played with it too hard and tired it out yesterday, or it's the milk. No kitten should be given milk, especially cold milk from the refrigerator. Their stomach es are not meant to digest this kind of milk and they can feel bad, have stomach cramps, gas and diarrhea.
Eight week old kittens still sleep a lot. Hopefully, it's just tired from yesterday, because if it's the milk, I'd say you'd besr be sniffing the air to see where it went, and arm yourself with plenty of cleaning supplies, because it won't be firm or dry oreasy to clean up.

maybe your cat if just very hot, cats need rest but your may have something wrong with it. what kinda of milk did you feed your cat? you shouldnt feed your cat a lot of milk or it will mess up their stomach and die. my best friends mom had a cat and she fed the cat a lot of milk. a year later her cat passed away because of too much milk. it's better to give your cat kitten-type milk (they sell at stores, petco, petsmart, etc.) it may be the milk, you should leave water out for you cat. feed your cat milk only like 5 times a month or something

cat's are lactose intolerant so you probably upset his stomach by giving him milk. He also probably has intestinal parasites, most kittens do, and he needs to be dewormed by a vet. I would take him to your vet(he needs to start vaccination anyway) and have a fecal check and start vaccinations and a get a general check over to make sure nothing is seriously wrong.

Mabey it is the milk, or mabey he got a virus, or just didnt feel good. There are too many possibilities to know for sure. I would suggest that you not feed him/her milk any more.

It could very well be the milk, it can irritate their bellies and cause diarrhea and other irritation. I would recommend taking him to a vet ASAP. It could be other things as well. I wish you the best of luck. I hope he is okay.
