Did he just start doing this? He could have a bladder infection or maybe he is just sleeping soundly. Are you away from him more then you use to be? Maybe he is mad at you and is acting up just like a young child.
I have a jackrat that maybe once a month will urinate on the couch that my husband sits on. I think that she does it when she gets mad at him. We don't know why she gets mad, maybe she wants more attention. She also might do it to keep Sheena, a pug dog, away from her. I ended up putting a plastic cover on the couch, and then using a quilt to cover the plastic.

We use to have a neutered corgi border collie dog in the house. He was fine and never made a mess, until we got Sheena. Then he started picking up his leg and marking his territory. We would bring him in every few months, but the last time we let him in Corky tried to pick up his leg on the kids computer. We finally found a great home for him without a girl dog in the house. Now he is completely housebroken again.

If your dog is only urinates on your bed and no where else in the house, close your door when you aren't in there. If he is going in other rooms, you might have to confine him to a small room, such as a bathroom. We have used the dog crates for our puppies at night, and have had great success.

I'm going to guess if you dog is 8 and peeing on your bed, this is a new behavior. If he has been reliable about potty training until now, TAKE HIM TO THE VET. It could be the start of kidney disease, or it could be something as simple as a Urinary Tract Infection curable by antibiotics. Or crystals in his urine causing irration, change food. Or some other physical thing.

You may want to have him checked out by a vet and see if he's starting into kidney disease. If he is, there's medication and dietary changes that can help with the problem. Depending on his breed, 8 years is getting on the elderly side, and it could be it's not his fault.

If he isn't, it could be that he has to go potty and no one is taking him outside...or he has anxiety issues...or he did it once, and you didn't clean it up well enough and now it smells like the perfect place to pee.

He is marking his territory. I had a dog that did that.
Mix water and vinegar together in a spray bottle and spray it on the bed. I know it sounds terrible, but it works, spray around the bed as well. Half and Half solution . OR just keep the bedroom door shut.

My dogs male or female wet on my bed when something has upset them. Is there something going on in your routine that is different. Are guest(human or animal) in and out that he doesn't know? Is he left home alone or is his sitter upsetting him? Do you have someone in your bed he doesn't approve of. Also have him checked by the vet. Our animal friends try to communicate with us, we just don't pay attention to the signs. It takes an intelligent person to communicate with animals not intelligent animals to communicate with humans.

Get some of that aerosol can stuff called "Shoo!" , or similar product. It's a spray that dogs aren't supposed to like very well and may keep them from doing unpleasant things in areas you use it.

Listen here, and listen good........ You are the boss in that house, RIGHT? So, why don't you just go to his spot where he likes to sleep and just start wizzing right there. You show him who's the boss O.K.? See how that dog likes that!!!
