I tell people that I was born in a cartoon - most people have never heard of Walla Walla Washington in any other context unless they lived near there.
The Chipmunks song "The Witch Doctor" mentions it repeatedly, and of course it was always a favorite in Bugs Bunny cartoons.

I had a friend who was born in Jerusalem. She remembers riding in a basket on the side of a camel, a guy that sold her a porcelin cat and the preschool she started to attend. She isn't of Middle Eastern descent though.
