As we saw with Royce Gracie once you take someone to the groud and you know jui jitsu the fight is over. You need to know the groud game well and usually fights go to the ground. I would fix my stand-up game as well just be be balance. To make it more effective in a fight get practice your take downs. If you are going pro in MMA get your ground game and get your stand-up. The ground game is more superior so I would go with Jiu Jitsu with a touch of stand-up like Mau Tai.

As it has been said, all martial arts have their strenghts and their weaknesses. I am a strong proponent of medieval western martial arts myself. WMA, especially unarmed, are not pretty. Strikes are few and far between and used as an opening move for the grappling.
And the grappling is not about submission holds. It's about tearing muscles and ligaments. It's about breaking bones. It is brutally effective, even against an armed, armoured opponent.

Jiu-jitsu is the ultimate martial art because 95% of fights hit the ground.

Go to school and learn how to spell and write. Your 3rd grade writing (lack of) skills is pitiful. You have bigger problems than worrying about "marshall arts" (?).

Ben P, how do you know the man is native English? I'm not, maybe him/her isn't too. Uh, whatever.
And how a wise man would say, it doesn't matter what you learn, it matters to be good at it. ;) I don't give a sh it if you learn whatever that is called, if you're not good at it, and if so, it isn't gonna help you. :D

Not to be a d*ck, but it sounds like you need to get out of the dojo and get yourself into a classroom.
