Over 8 years quit for me and I still get the occasional craving. The good news is that they pass fairly quickly.

I quit 8 years ago. Once in a great while I get the urge. But since I found an exercise that I enjoy it helps. Best idea, find something a hobby, sport, whatever, that you can't possibly do and smoke. I found that for the most part I don't get urges unless I'm out with people who smoke... or in a bar. It gets easier, but you have to find something else to do when the urge hits!

I quit smoking two years ago, and still get those feelings. They are coming less frequently though. It's usually after I eat or when I am drinking alcohol because those are two times when cigarettes were really good. Wow, I wouldn't mind having on right now:0

i stopped smoking about 12 years ago, and I still get those feelings. not very often, usually it is during some really stressful activity, or if I am anxious about something. then I remember why I quit in the first place, and that helps me deal with those feelings. whatever you do. DON'T LIGHT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Quit 7 years ago, easily done, but what's odd is once in a while I have a dream about me smoking, wake up and thank God its just a dream. Remember to give your body time to heal itself.

Hi......I have stopped for over a year now...... I still get urges to smoke, as you do......Keep yourself very busy, avoid alcohol, coffee.....The urges will pass, but you may have those for a number of years................................ :-)
