I have studied many diffrent religions. I have not studied much of yours, but I am always learning.

Now, today, I have read some of the prophecies made, the minor ones, and some of the things about Jesus and Muhammed.

Can you tell me if I have this right. You believe in God (Allah in your launguage), Moses, and Jesus only as a prophet. But Muhammed was the last and final prophet, making your religion complete and accurate? And the Quran has never been altered in ANY way, not even revised right?

I am only learning, so as to educate myself. Is there any other major points to your religion I should know about? And if Jesus was a prophet and taugh Love, and Muhammed was also a prophet, why did he teach violence?

I mean no disrespect, I am merely curious.

What you have said about the Prophets is true to Islam. In Islam we belief in all of the Prophets back to Adam. The prophets found in the Torah and the Bible are also in the Quran. The Quran confirms that the original Torah and Bible were sent by God.

As for original books, the Quran has not been changed. There is a museum in Turkey that has a copy of the original Quran as given to Prophet Mohammad. You can compare the arabic to any Quran to that, and word for word it is the same.

Some problems arise when the Quran is translated into another language, that is why Muslims are encouraged to try to learn Arabic. The other main problem, especially amoung certain "muslim" groups, is taking parts of the Quran out of context of the rest of the Quran, but also out of context when it was revealed to the Prophet Mohammad. This is how some twisted groups and people make it seem okay of killing innocent civilians.

An excellent site for you to view in your studies is http://www.al-islam.org/

Best of luck in your search for knowledge. I pray more people do this as you are. Even if they do not become Muslim, a better understanding between all religions will help to bring peace and united groups against the people that create terror in the world for whatever their mixed up thoughts are.

some muslims misunderstand what Seal of the prophets means. Muhammad ( pbuh) is the confirmation of the truth that other prophets have revealed. Jesus will be a prophet when he returns, therefore how can Muhammad be the last prophet. Obviously, you have not read the Quran because Muhammad mostly talk about peace and love for God. Dont be a hypocrite! When Jesus returns he will be wearing a robe dipped in blood.

i respect ur desire to learn about other religion and especially Islam.

the problem is not about Muhammad or Islam, it's about people do not understand who is God is. God is something that is complete. He creates Hell, torture and pain. but in the other hand he has created Paradise, mercy and forgiveness.

Muhammad does what God telling Him to do without arguing. Jesus was gone at his 30s (his message wasn't yet completed), so he will return back and completed. Muhammad died naturally at a old age after the last verse of the Quran sent down to him. Muhammad wasn't the only prophet who fought for the sake of God. take a look at David.

Muhammad was combined of many characteristic taking from many prophets of God. Muhammad was combined of mercy, forgiveness, warrior, calm, love .... . Muhammad just do whatever God telling him to do.

The Prophet Muhammad used to prohibit soldiers from killing women and children,1 and he would advise them: {...Do not betray, do not be excessive, do not kill a newborn child.}2 And he also said: {Whoever has killed a person having a treaty with the Muslims shall not smell the fragrance of Paradise, though its fragrance is found for a span of forty years.}3

Also, the Prophet Muhammad has forbidden punishment with fire.4

He once listed murder as the second of the major sins,5 and he even warned that on the Day of Judgment, {The first cases to be adjudicated between people on the Day of Judgment will be those of bloodshed.6}7

Muslims are even encouraged to be kind to animals and are forbidden to hurt them. Once the Prophet Muhammad said: {A woman was punished because she imprisoned a cat until it died. On account of this, she was doomed to Hell. While she imprisoned it, she did not give the cat food or drink, nor did she free it to eat the insects of the earth.}8

He also said that a man gave a very thirsty dog a drink, so God forgave his sins for this action. The Prophet was asked, “Messenger of God, are we rewarded for kindness towards animals?” He said: {There is a reward for kindness to every living animal or human.}9

Additionally, while taking the life of an animal for food, Muslims are commanded to do so in a manner that causes the least amount of fright and suffering possible. The Prophet Muhammad said: {When you slaughter an animal, do so in the best way. One should sharpen his knife to reduce the suffering of the animal.}10

In light of these and other Islamic texts, the act of inciting terror in the hearts of defenseless civilians, the wholesale destruction of buildings and properties, the bombing and maiming of innocent men, women, and children are all forbidden and detestable acts according to Islam and the Muslims. Muslims follow a religion of peace, mercy, and forgiveness, and the vast majority have nothing to do with the violent events some have associated with Muslims. If an individual Muslim were to commit an act of terrorism, this person would be guilty of violating the laws of Islam.

you got most of it right though! but just to correct you prophet Muhammad never tough us violence. he was a very compassionate person.
there were many battles at the time as the non believers were trying to destroy the new religion. Islam is about rights and limits.
and if the Muslims weren't to fight back they would have been destroyed.

Be careful. Muslims don't allow criticism of the Phophet. Those who have answered so far are not Muslims and I would not take their answers seriously. Also preview and edit your question for grammatical accuracy.Maybe some of those who answered are Muslim. It just does't sound like what I've read in the Holy Quran.
