u r only 10, so don't worry about it. Just try to cut back on chips and sodas, and excercise more.

Because you're so young you should not be considering a diet of any sort. Simply getting a little more excercise and eating the right about of fruits, veggies, whole grains(whole wheat bread), and protiens (lean meats like turkey, chicken and fish) will make you healthier which will help control your weight in the long run. Instead of drinking cokes or fruit juices with a lot of sugar, drink lots of water(adding something like crystal light helps with the taste) and milk. Remeber, you are still growing and devoloping. Dont assume that the way you look now is the way you are going to look forever

Hi Sweetheart,

I was chubby when I was 10 years old, I felt so weird and I just wanted to look like the other girls..But, what I didn't know then--but what I know today--is that at 10 years old, your body is going through soo many changes. No one is "fat" at age 10. You are simply growing up. One day your head will look big, the next day your feet might look big--that's because you are growing up. You are too young to be on a diet, because you need to eat 3 healthy meals day so you can keep growing tall and strong. But, if you feel that you are really fat, you can try to stop drinking soda, because soda causes kids to gain alot of weight. Also, try not to eat potato chips, but instead eat healthy snacks like trail mix, dried fruit, and popcorn. But, I bet you are a cute kid, so don't worry about it.

Get involved in some vigorous activities that will turn the food you eat into muscle, rather than reducing the amount you eat. But don't increase it, either. And if you are in the habit of eating a lot of sugary foods, and fatty foods, try to find healthier substitutes, like whole grains and fresh fruit and vegetables. But be sure you get plenty of protein, and that means you can't go too far down on calories, because protein is calorie-rich for the most part.

Be sure you and your mother work together on this. Don't try to do it all by yourself. It may be time for you to learn to cook so you can make things that are good for the whole family, and work with your mother on keeping you all healthy and happy. Doesn't that sound better than getting all neurotic like so many teenage girls do?

Keep active, I am also fat. I understand how hard it is, eat right exercises. remember Its better to eat healthy then not eating. try the 6 small meal plan that's been working for me. What you do is eat 1-2 oz of meat twice a day and 2oz of veggies 6 times a day. once your body gets use to this you'll start dropping weight fast OH and you can also make it extra healthy by carrying a bag of carrots or strawberry's that way if your busy you can reach to the bag and have that to eat. Remember your metabolism works fast if it keeps getting energy to burn.

Are you sure you are fat? Sometimes children think they are fat, when they are not. If you really feel you aren't in your best shape, just cut out junk food and sodas. Switch from white bread to whole wheat bread. Eat lots of fresh fruit and veggies. That should help. Then, be sure to get lots of exercise every day. Ride your bike, roller blade, play ball, jump rope, or just take walks. That's all you need to do.

Cheers,

First and formost look at what you eat? You probably learned to eat what your parents have learned to be a good diet.. There are so many options out there. I would speak to your parents if they are open and request they look into healthier eating habits with you. If they are offended by your request or food is a sensitive issue perhaps you can request certain foods be purchased on grocery trips by asking if you can contribute to the descisions behind meal planning at home.... I know of only one product out there that can help you that is 100% safe and natural I used it myself and a friend with her daughter who was 9 at the time. We researched this high and low. 2packsaday.com/whey2go perhaps your parents would look into it with you.. Good Luck and be safe it was not a diet by the way but an increase in calcium and fibre intake.... Make sure you cover all this with your parents first...

Listen at your age you should'nt have to worry about losing weight.... Be happy with yourself. I was bigger when I was your age and as I grew up I thinned out. They call it baby fat for a reason. And no disrespect to you at all but you are still technically a baby. Worry about all that stuff when your older. For now just enjoy life and all that its offering. Have fun!!

Smaller meals. If you snack, make sure its healthy snacks. Fruits - not candy. Drink alot of water - no soda. Get out and be more active. Watching TV isn't going to help. Start now, it is easier to get in the right habit while you are younger.

My dad once gave me an answer to that.....he said, " use your thumbs to push yourself away from the table". well, I tried it and it did not work. The only way to lose it is to eat the right kind of foods, and do a little excersice, or walk some. Ask your parents to help you eat the right way.....I am 55 and I wish someone had told me to do that when I was younger. My parents just ignored it and I just got bigger and bigger. Please, don't let it happen to you...
