Buddha never claimed to be God. Moses never claimed to be Jehovah. Mohammed never claimed to be Allah. Yet Jesus Christ claimed to be the true and living God. Buddha simply said, "I am a teacher in search of the truth." Jesus said, "I am the Truth." Confucius said, "I never claimed to be holy." Jesus said, "Who convicts me of sin?" Mohammed said, "Unless God throws his cloak of mercy over me, I have no hope." Jesus said, "Unless you believe in me, you will die in your sins." --Unknown Just think about that for a little.

Jesus certainly did *NOT* claim to be Almighty God Jehovah. Jesus was the Son of God.
Trinitarians love to regurgitate philosophy, Greek, and quotes from other Babylon-loving Trinitarians. By contrast, Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the Scriptures alone quite plainly demonstrate that Jesus and the Almighty are separate distinct persons, and the Almighty created Jesus as His firstborn son.
(Colossians 1:15) the firstborn of all creation
(Mark 10:18) Jesus said to him: 'Why do you call me good? Nobody is good, except one, God.
(Revelation 3:14) the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God
(Philippians 2:5-6) Christ Jesus, who, although he was existing in God's form, gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God
(John 8:42) Neither have I come of my own initiative at all, but that One sent me forth
(John 12:49) I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak
(John 14:28) I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am
(1 Corinthians 15:28) But when all things will have been subjected to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to the One who subjected all things to him
(Matthew 20:23) this sitting down at my right hand and at my left is not mine to give, but it belongs to those for whom it has been prepared by my Father
(1 Corinthians 11:3) I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; ...in turn the head of the Christ is God
(John 20:17) I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.
(Deuteronomy 6:4) Jehovah our God is one Jehovah
(1 Corinthians 8:4-6) There is no God but one. For even though there are those who are called "gods," whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many "gods" and many "lords," there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him

Buddha, Moses, Confucius, and Mohammed are all dead!
But Jesus is alive! We serve a living Saviour!
Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the whole world and those who place their faith in Him will have eternal life in Heaven!

You are on the right track. The Lord bless you!
The Book of Revelation or the Apocalypse is all about the Lord Jesus Christ in fact being the one God.

Sounds like Jesus had a rather inflated ego, or a deep-rooted psychosis. Presuming, of course, that anything attributed to him is in any way accurate, given the first gospels weren't written until a good 65 years after his death. Personally I'm doubtful there were many original eye witnesses around to dictate his words. And human memory is notoriously unreliable.

I don't know what I believe any longer. I was raised as a Christian, a Catholic one! I fell away from the church for many years, found my way back, and fell away again. I peruse this category regularly, probably looking for insight. Your "question/answer" makes a lot of sense. I am still questioning these "super Christians", though, who think that as long as they recognize the fact that Jesus died for their sins they will go to Heaven. You can't just commit every sin you can think of and expect to go to Heaven because you know of the sacrifice Jesus made. You have to be SORRY for the sins you committed (that led to Jesus' death--don't forget: WE killed him, not the Romans or the Jews), and promise to try not to commit them again!!!! Otherwise, it's like you continually inflict pain upon Christ, like you don't even care that you have hurt Him.

The beauty of Jesus is that He came to save us ALL. Not a select few, not just the ones who believe or "accept" Him, but EVERY single one of us.
The other beauty of Jesus is that he didn't put down other messengers or prophets. He taught us to love all others.
Think about that for a little while.

Yeah, but Charles Manson claimed the same thing. John Lennon did once, too. I'll take either of them over Hey-Zeus.

Yes, I have. Most Christians tend to look forward to the Wedding Feast we'll have with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Me? I'm looking forward to the honeymoon...!
