I'm very intelligent, and am told that I am quite attractive, yet sometimes I feel as if being so school-focused makes it difficult for guys to like me. What is your experience with "smart girls"- honestly. Do they intimidate you, so that you don't even bother? Why/why not? Do you like intelligent women? I'm sure I'm not the only person who would appreciate your input.

No an intelligent woman does not intimidate some of us. I'd rather have someone like you by my side than a dumb Blondie who can not understand what I am saying.

Life is more rewarding when you have someone as smart and intelligent like you by your side. There is no waste of time explaining things to her, she can understand you completely, you do understand her. Communications flows endlessly you intimate at levels most people only dream of.

Smart girls are the best.

No. Normally smart/intelligent girls do not intimidate me. I guess only the ones that "think" they are intelligent and are really stupid (as I am sure it goes the other way) annoy me extremely.

However, if you think about it, a person needs to be in a relationship/friendship with people that can maintain a decent conversation. Communication is the key to any type of relationship.

I guess the question that you have to answer, is that what difference does it make whether or not men/boys are intimidated by you? The important thing is that you maintain your focus on what is important, and if you are truly intelligent, that will be your education.

And anyways, do you really want a guy to like you that is intimidated by your brains? Soon enough, there will come a guy that is both intelligent and insightful enough to see both your visible beauty and your mental beauty as well. Maintaining communication with that person will be your key to true happiness.

being smart does not bother me at all. And most guys I know do not mind it either. But if you are to focused on school that my bother them all. School is ok but you have to live life also. I never even finished school and some girls were turned away by that until they actually got to know me and found out that going to school doesn't always make you smart or a better person. A month ago my wife got me to go have my IQ tested and I test at 175 so as you can see school isn't always the answer, but good times last for ever...

I like smart girls.

Being "school focused" might be the problem. This is a culture where stupidity and ignorance is "cool". People know who Paris Hilton is, but not Condoleeza Rice.
