Look elsewhere and stop thinking it's painful, actually it's not at all.

Top 10 things to help you:
1. Look away from your arm when they pinch it
2. Think about something happy
3. Tell the person taking your blood that you're scared. they have ways of making it better for you
4. Realize that by the time you feel the pinch, the shot will already be over.
5. Relax your arm.
6. Go to a lab at a hospital. That's usually the best place to find really good doctors with lots of experiance taking blood.
7. Reward yourself with something when it's done. Go out to your favorite dinner place or buy yourself something you've always wanted.
8. Take deep, regular breaths while they're doing the blood test. Concentrate on your breathing and you won't concentrate on the injection so much.
9. Realize that it will only take a few minutes at most and that the pinch will only last a millisecond. This isn't about being in pain for hours.
10. Have you ever broken a bone or been in pain? Think about that pain and when you feel the pinch it'll be like no big deal compared to that.

I guess it all depends on why you're afraid in the first place. Are you afraid of the pain? The fact you're losing blood?
I always used to look away. The pain is like a pinch, and then a slighty odd feeling.. but it doesn't hurt. Now I watch, and I find it (morbidly) interesting to watch.

Well there is a couple of things you could do. One is too just be brave about it and look the other way when your getting the needle. Or two if your that afraid, try to be hypnotized. Good luck!!

to be frank with you, even if im a nurse, i dont like to get poke. my way is to ask my friends to do it for me. at least they will do it fast and accurate. 1 shot 1 kill. haha.
normally before they poke me, i will scream or shout. i will think that the pain will be unbearable, but when the needle goes in, the pain is actually bearable. thats what i normally do. hope it helps.

Just close your mind to it, then grin and bear it.
