That's an "old wives's tale". I tickled my children lots, and neither has ever stuttered. They are now 28 and 30.

No. There is no scientific evidence for that. That's a myth that gets reinforced by ocasional coincidences.

People who hear this myth and happen to have a baby, and they tickle him, and he doesn't develop a stutter, just forget about the story.

But those that tickle and the baby develops a stutter by chance are the ones that remember and pass on this myth.

No! Tickle away. Nothing like the sound of a baby giggling and cackling. Enjoy!

No. That appears like an old better halves tale to me. some ppl say no longer to tickle a newborn too a lot because they can't communicate with you even as they can't breathe and seize their breath. We tickle our son and it only loves it. you only might want to be sure you enable them seize their breathes and under no circumstances overdo it. only imagine about even as someone tickles you.

No its not true. But you are not suppose to tickle your baby when it is still very young because its nerves are just developing and its brain cant process the feelings that it is feeling and it is too much for them. But I do not believe it affect their speech in anyway. different functions of their body develop at different times and I believe that the speech and the nerves develop at different times.

No, it's not true. But too much tickling can be a form of child abuse.

I heard this from many OLDER people as I was growing up. I would really hate to do this to a child to find out they were right.
