At the time I get it, I am extremely bitter. . .but then by the grace of God, I am usually able to learn a lesson from it (and that makes me happy).

Well, constructive criticism that tends to be in a pleasant and non-offensive way is the way to go for it. I can accept constructive criticism because I know what I did wrong and there is no harshness.

If it is criticism in a harsh and offensive way but it makes sense and I helped me learn, i will not get used to it and that would hurt my feelings. Harsh criticism in a way that I learned to deal with mistakes is not acceptable because I cannot stand the yelling and the bitter words.

When someone applies harsh and bitter criticism towards me for something that I didn't do at all, then i will find that very anger provoking. I would then get so angry at these people that I would think of them as a bunch of no-good and mean people. If they apply harsh criticism towards me for no reason, then it's their big fat freaking problem and it's sure their fault.

Even constructive criticism can be difficult to take, but if we are humble enough to be able to take the critism knowing that it will help us long term, then we win.

Remember the old saying "It's not what we say, its the way to say it". I have personally learnt from constructive criticism, and there are times when I embrace it, because I know what it can achieve.

Its harder tho when you know someone has a critical spirit, and is just having a go for the sake of it.

I have a hard time with it becasue I am such a perfectionist---and criticism makes me feel bad. However, I understand that it is necessary, as long as it is delivered n a respectful way. I am learning to handle it without freaking out because we are NOT perfect people and we do make mistakes and need help in doing something better from time to time. When I give criticism, I try to make it constructive--let them know what is wrong, but offer suggestions to help make it better.

Criticism can be good. If I were to say "good question", that'd be criticism. Somewhere along the line, criticism came to imply negative criticism. There's a good way to give it, and a bad way. Just try to see that when you recieve the criticism, it may be true, so use it to try to better yourself, rather than be offended. Life's too short to be mad at everyone.

I'll take criticism if I did something wrong. If it helps me out in the long run then good. I will give it as long as it helps someone out that I care about. Otherwise if I don't have something nice to say i'll keep it to myself.

In a constructive manner without malice and with sincerity so that the reciever of the criticism is not "beaten" but "bouyed."
