Depends on the length of your hair. If it's long, like mine, you pull back the hair on the top of your head and clip it, then work around your hair from one side to the other, pulling pieces it in front of you where you can see it, and cutting an equal length from each piece. Then clip that part back, let down the top, and do the top.
If your hair is short, like my mom's, you can still do a great job cutting it if you can hold the scissors in one hand and a mirror in the other so you can see the back. Be sure your hair is wet. Oh, and if it's really short this will work best if it's wavy or curly. If it's straight, you might need to get someone to trim the back for you.

Do not cut your own hair!!!! It may seem simple, but there's so much us normal, non- hair stylist people just don't understand. Just go and see your hair stylist. It'll be a lot easier.
However, if you really, really, really want to do this, then stand in front of a mirror while holding a hand mirror. ,ove around until you can use the hand mirror to see the back of your head in the other mirror.
If you do this, I'm not responsible for the results, remember that!

I suggest that you not cut your own hair...it's going to look ridiculous. I guess if you need to measure the accuracy, get a small mirror and go in front of a larger mirror, maybe in your bathroom. Face the other direction of the large mirror and look into the small mirror. Move if necessary to see the back of your head. I don't think you can mess it up TOO much, though, if you're not cutting off a lot. I cut my own hair for the first time in 3rd grade and I didn't need to get it fixed so...

Wow, don't do that. At least have a friend cut the back of your hair o.k? I don't think you can cut the back and not mess it up. If you can't go to a Great Clips or something, call a friend over and ask for some help. Good luck.

Never cut your own hair unless you know how to.
