I thought I could get some reasonably sane and knowledgable opinions about any subject from people with some expertise in the topic discussed.
Instead I gert a bunch of answers from a lot of twelve year olds about their concept of the meaning of life. If this is the best this site can do, count me OUT! Someone inform Yahoo!

Moses, like you I have a few years of experience (I'm 65) and have had the opportunity to try my hand at many things. Coming here to Yahoo/Answers I anticipated people from all backgrounds and maturity, but mostly anticipated interesting questions and sincere attempts to answer them. Clearly there are more than I expected who are challenged to answer with civility, minimal language skills, and education (life experience).

Even so, there are many here who try the very best they can and there are intriguing answers and answers that have made me look at things in new ways.

It often may seem frustrating but I've come to look at it as muking out a horse stall, you have to go through a lot of road apples before the job is finished.

Well, all I can tell you is that yahoo Answers is used by all ages. if you don't get the answer you're looking for, it's not the end of the world...it's not the site's fault stupid or younger people join. No offense but if this is where you came expecting perfect answers you're definitely in the wrong place!

Anything specific you are spouting off about or is this a general rant?

I've found you have to sort through lots of wet dirt to find the tiniest nugget of gold. Metaphorically speaking.
