Verbal and emotional abuse is actually worse than being hit.

From experience I now that you will slowly lose who you are and he will convince you that you are nothing and deserve nothing.
He needs power to feel secure and being mean verbally makes him feel like a man.

Dont continue the relationship. I can't begin to tell you the crazyness you will have to deal with in the future.

Why would a woman want to? If he is verbally abusive.. then he will continue to be.. he isnt going to change for her or nobody else. Unless she likes verbal abuse.. i would suggest to make way and run the other direction.

Why would she want to?

The only reason I can see is if she thinks there is something "underneath"
the abuse that is worthwhile to connect with.

Even then, she has to consider that pig-in-the-poke worth more than
the pain of the abuse she takes getting there.

There is also some correlation between verbal and physical abuse
so she may well be risking more than she thinks.

No. Being verbally abused is just as bad if not worse then physical. Bruses can heal but the damge that is done to you mentally sometimes can not be. Find someone who really cares about you.

depends on the context, which the words are being used...sometimes i like the "f" word when it is described as an action word and i am in the mood...other wise, no you should not allow someone to verbally abuse you

No. Why do women do that? You know he's bad for you, then when you're in the relationship all you do is complain about how bad he is. If you continue to get close to him, you forfeit the right to complain about it.
