The most important thing, meaning the most pressing issue, the one thing that He would go to any lengths to impress upon you?
The one thing that God wants you to completely understand is how much He loves you. He wants you to know that you are the most beautiful thing He's ever seen, He created you that way. He wants you to realise how precious you are, and how much He paid for you to be free from evil. He adores you; and if you know that, the rest will come in time.

That building new churches and bigger cathedrals and taller steeples and sending money to every tv preacher that asks for it and shunning people because they don't believe what you believe and judging anyone for anything and worrying more about what others think of you than what you think of yourself is not what it's all about. Any god, your god, their god, his god, her god, the only thing that really has any influence on either the way you see your god or the way your god sees you is what's in your true heart of hearts. Nothing painted gold, or stained glass, or any other water color coating is going to make any difference. Act towards everyone the way you want them to act towards you.

That He loves you, and has a plan and purpose for your life.
For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, plans for good and not for evil, plans to give you hope and a future.
That you can be forgiven of all your wrong doing, that you can be born again by His Spirit, which means that you need to repent of all the wrong you have done, and have a new life in Jesus.

Your need for salvation by Jesus Christ is the most important thing God want you to understand.

Do you know for sure that Jesus Christ is your personal Saviour, and that you are going to heaven when you die?
First, realize that God loves you...
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
Next, realize everyone is a sinner...
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
Then, realize that sin has a price that must be paid...
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
And, realize that Jesus Christ died to pay your price...
Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Finally, pray, asking Jesus Christ to be your Saviour, claiming his promise of eternal life...
Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
You could pray something like this...
“Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I am sorry for all my sins. I ask you to forgive me. The best I know how, I am receiving you as my Lord and Saviour right now. Amen.”

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
The word "again" (anothen) in Greek means "from above", so born from above.
John 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
We all are born of the flesh and water, the womb. You must be born from above or the Spirit. God's Word is His Spirit. I pray that helps you. Sow to your spirit by studying His Word which is God's Spirit.

That you are a sinner (like everyone else) and that God loves you so much that he sent his son Jesus Christ to come and die on the cross for you and was raised back to life so that you can go to Heaven.
