What I have done is stay in bed for an extra five mintues before getting up. Once she learns that you aren't getting up till 5:35, add another 5-10 minutes, etc... It takes a few weeks/months. We get up at 6:30 and every single animal in the house know this. Every puppy has had to learn that they will not be taken out till that time. It takes patience! Keep in mind that when you do get up, make sure you do not do anything with her until she is quiet. If you let her out as she is making noise- you just rewarded her for waking you up!

Try keeping her up and busy later in the evening. It probably won't help cuz she's got her own internal clock. My doxie whines and whines to go to bed at 10:00 every night. He will not give up until I put him to bed-that's just the way he is! Often when they get up early, I take them out to go potty and then we all go back to sleep for a while. They are happy with that. They get fed both morning and evening so they aren't so hungry in the morning. Also think about limiting water in the evening. He's probably waking cuz he has to urinate. Good luck!

I agree, before you call it a night, take her for a walk (all dogs should be walked 30 minutes everyday). Also, pick her water up before bedtime. See if these things help. We have a female rottie that will wake you up at 3:30am and we're still trying to think of ways to change this. This may not be something we can change, but at least alter a little.

I was having this problem with my miniature pinscher. He is 2 and slept in his crate up until one month ago when he started waking up sooo early. I would let him out and he wouldn't even have to pee. I figured he was just sick of being in his crate so I tried leaving him sleep out of it one night and he gets up at least 3 hours later now. Sleeps on the couch every night in the same place and loves it. Hope this helps.

If your dog is house trained and an adult dog, just try to ignore her. She get the picture that no one is active around this time, and will eventually go back to sleep.

If your dog is not house trained and under at least 1 yr, she may have to go to the bathroom. This may be the fact if you have a schedule for her feeding. Try to set her last feeding earlier so she won't have to go to sleep. It's a bad idea to let your dog eat RIGHT before bed, also.

Play with her a lot just before going to bed - it will tucker her out and make her sleep longer.

Also, you could feed her twice a day - once in the morning and once at night. The night feeding will put her to sleep and she won't wake up hungry.

No. Your dog has its own body clock. Try giving her free run of the house, that way when she wakes she wont feel the need to wake you too. Place a bowl of dried dog meal in a different room, so she wont need to wake you for food either.

Does she drink alot of water prior to bedtime? That may be as long as she can hold it too. Monitor her water intake and excerise her more at night. She just may be an early riser. My dog gets up at 730am every morning because when he was potty training that is when we would put him out and it became a routine. It is hard to reset their clocks but you can try.

My cat has been doing the comparable element for 2 years, ever with the aid of fact she exchange right into somewhat kitten. she would be able to stroll into our rooms, lick our eyes, arms, nostril and then nudge us to evoke. If we don't, then she knocks issues over till we arise. With my cat, it exchange into no longer somewhat lol, she has had the comparable kitten-like character with the aid of fact we've had her. If something, close your door in the previous you bypass to mattress, that way your cat is surely no longer waiting to wake you up. some cats do it no longer unavoidably with the aid of fact they're loopy, yet with the aid of fact they crave interest. some cats in basic terms want anybody conscious whilst they're.
