Because they are being told we can not afford to let them just come. It is against the law. And we don't need them. We can do it without them. We want them to go through procedures for the protection of all. They are hurting others here. I am sure it hurts their feelings. But we can not take care of our own we don't need more to care for. And figures show that is the case. Results do count.
They don't care about all that. They want more. And resent that others say they just can't have it.

The problem is not the illegal immigration of a few people from other countries. The problem under discussion is the sheer number of them right now as a result of the open border of the US.
The estimates vary around 20 million and that is the population of an entire state!
To tolerate illegal immigrants in such a number is simply unacceptable for any nation on this earth, including the US!

People get jealous and even mad when they work hard all their life, paying taxes, getting what they worked for, legally and seeing the rewards.
Illegal immigrants on the other hand, don't want to contribute to the country, they only want to take the good things (jobs) and omit the bad (paying taxes).

Everyone gets angry, because the illegal immigrants don't want to contribute any physical or monetary effort to a country that gives them the job. They skirt the rules, while everyone else has to follow in line.

Another analogy...
Have you ever been in a long lineup, and someone tries to cut in?
People get angry and even belligerent and start cussing at the person cutting in front of them.

The same can be said about illegal immigrants.

Because we are torn by our compassion for a troubled people and our acknowledgment of human rights issues...and then forced to weigh it with the need to take care of those in our own homeland.

I know people who are starving but can't get food stamps, but their illegal counterparts do...and this isn't right. The same with medical care. The key phrase everyone seems to overlook is the word "illegal" and then surmise you don't care about them...and nothing could be further from the truth. People often hear what they want to hear. It has happened to me.

But here is what is also true: My ancestors came her legally, through all the required processes required of them...and they sacrificed much to do it. They made a new life and embraced the American culture. My grandfather felt so strongly about it; he forbid the use of French in our homes. He said, "We are in America, we shall speak English."

The downside to this is the French Language is lost to my family forever. You must understand...we are not singling out a group of people as a target; but rather addressing our needs here at home. Do not confuse the two...and if they are here legally..."Welcome".

Because they don't get universal education in countries like Mexico, so people want to come here where we guaranty universal education, by paying the bill for poor people.

You can't have both unlimited immigration and subsidized services, and those services are now failing our own people, because the levels of illegal immigration have become cumulatively unbearable. Education in particular has become a sore spot in border states and places where illegals concentrate.

We want to make it hard for people to use us to fund their own country's failings. Meanwhile the other countries, and the people taking advantage of our past generosity don't want us to stop paying their way.

Because mexicans had their lands stolen , See annexation of texas.
and american people that dont like the mexican migrant workers that were allowed to come in and work in the united states,The laws were passed in the 1950s.
recently sence 9-11 and high security, people are now making a fuss because their are people crossing illegally and want the flow stopped, and I agree we need to control immigration coming in.
The problem is sence the land was taken from mexico illegally mexicans know it's their birthright and their indigenious to the lands and it's not fair to kick mexicans off their native lands even if they crossed illegally because the lands were stolen from them illegally.
And all americans came from europe and entered indian lands and set up goverment and comitted ethnic cleansing illegally.
So it's incredibly arrogant of americans to tell mexican natives to leave
Thanks for the good question.

Because immigrants are hot. (JK)

Actually, I'm married to a LEGAL immigrant and it totally sucks all the paperwork we've had to go through. It cost us like over $1,000, almost all our wedding gifts, and we're still waiting for his citizenship.

So, for us, the idea of illegal immigrants getting away with living here illegally and even getting help from the govt. makes us really upset, since here we are being honest and doing it the right way and it feels like we're being punished for it.

Well, on one side you have people who want the law to be upheld equally, regardless of race or status.

On the other, you have people who think that ONE group of people should be exempt from the same laws that everyone else is forced to abide by, BECAUSE of their race and status.

There are bound to be arguments when these two sides get together and start talking with each other.

**Thank you. I always love your questions.**

Because people just can't accept each other and live in peace....Someone always has to be in charge and in control....

Because people are selfish and feel they deserve everything and are entitled to everything.

Because people see change a threat, instead of embracing or accepting it.

There are many reasons for why people feel the way they do, but this is still America and we are still entitled....
