What is your most curious experience as an Occultist?

2006-07-22 13:40:01 · 7 answers · asked by silencedwatcher 3 in Society & Culture Religion & Spirituality

It seems there is a specific misrepresentation. I would like to address a few of the answers I have recieved this far.

First and formost is not all Occultists are Satanists, In fact Occultists and Satanists prefer keeping these names seperate to reduce confusion.

As an occultist I can say wholeheartedly that I do not wear robes or adorn myself with fancy rituals. Though this does occure, the only reason for it is to make the ritualist comfertable.

As far as religious nuts go I am more then happy to recieve their opinion. I believe having apponents is a sign of honor and respect. If I had no apponents whatever I am involved with would have little value without them.

Thanks to everyone for letting me clear these things up,
Silence

Seeing the gem which is inside ALL religions, and discarding the heavy box holding it.

"As a former occultist, astrologer, and witch, who was saved by the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ, I am well acquainted with occult legends and symbology. I will unmask and reveal the contents and satanic purpose of this antichrist story, which is designed to destroy the faith of many by casting doubts about the deity and saving power of the Lord Jesus Christ."

Reading as much of Occult as I could. I needed to find the key to the box. Then after reading and being involved in Occult, I realised there was no key because there was no box.
I also love all the paradoxes that come with Occultism.

Occultism is pure self-indulgence. They dress in fancy robes, perform obscure rituals, and vainly flatter themselves with pretensions of cosmic wisdom.

Looks like the answer is "no" but you did manage to pull the religious right nut jobs out.
