How can so many people have this belief:

If you believe in God, he exists.
If you you dont believe in God he doesnt exist.
If you believe in heaven and hell, they exist
If you Belive in Buddah he exist.
and so on...

Wouldnt common sense tell you that there has to be one true answer. I am not trying to put anyone down, or step on toes, but if this is your belief system, please stand up for it and make your case. Or maybe you dont believe you exist, so you just disapeared. In any case, i am looking for non religion bashing answers, but answers from all religions on why people can think in this sort of fashion.

Belief in something or someone has no bearing on its existence.

For example, if I believe in the Easter Bunny, does that mean that the Easter Bunny exists??

yes. there is one true answer. but, maybe the answer is that it doesn't matter what we believe. many people in life never discover the actual answers about a lot of things. although this is tragic, it happens. no-one can really do anything but follow their heart. maybe everyone on this earth has been and will always be wrong about what they believe. maybe just some people will know. either way, if it is in you, you should step completely outside of yourself and try to discover what you think the answer is. maybe if you find it, you can share it with others who will never know. the world needs more leaders who are willing to use their hearts for the better of others.

I agree that it's a horribly flawed outlook. If God only exists because you believe in him, then God has a contingent existence. But God by definition does not exist contingently. Therefore the premise is flawed.

As for Swedenborg, he's alright. He's not the greatest Christian theologian by any stretch of the imagination.

To me every nation has been revealed God to,they know and since other countries have different language and cultures, they started out right and turned the creature[man] into the Creator.

There is one answer if you ask me. The best Christian theologian that this earth produced was Emanuel Swedenborg and he said that he got his information from heaven and it wasn't even his own thoughts. Of course it was his thoughts once he learned though but these thoughts belong to all who want to know the Bible and parables.

God exists whether you believe it or not. Just because the situation may be different in your mind, doesn't change the situation.

When I first became a believer in Jesus Christ.. my eyes were opened not to physical things but to things like... who am I,who made me ,how did I get here , why am I here.......unless you have experienced this you will not know what I am talking about ..you are in the dark
and don't know it or you will deny it ...being in the dark that is .

You are right - they can't all be true. But here's a truth about God: He exists even if no one believes it.
