got iam so f***king depressed, im stuck in a place i dont want to live, as well as dealing with mental health problems. some people have said to me on here why dont i go get another place.. and i cant just do that!! it cost money and iam on welfare. meanwhile i have to live around antisocial degenerate distgusting pigs. the walls in my flat are so thin so i hear ever noise there is, inside and outside. does no one in america suffer to this extent? i havent had many replies or advice...? grrrrr. the situation im in seems conspiratorial. the angency worker who came tonight to se about my case for moving, told me that the government are paying psychiatrist to scrap patients off there books and get them into work. strange they told me months back there working towards my discharge? when im not ready and my mental illness hasnt been resolved, worse of all because of my racing thoughts, ive forgotten most of what she said, the subtleties that i thought were important, forgotten into thin air

Your mental health problems combined with your environment wouldn't make me surprised that you are depressed and miserable. People in America and around the world suffer to your extent and sometimes even more. Not to say your problems are not valid, they are. I don't know the extent of your mental health problems. If it is possible you should write a list of the things that concern you about your situation so you won't forget when your thoughts are racing and write down what your agency worker tells you. Since you can't leave where you live, tell your psychiatrist what is going on. Ask him or her what is it that you can do to move forward in your progress with your metal health problems and ways to cope in your current living situation.

Lyndia is is on the right track with this one. Your focus is off.
I find that the best way to keep myself in focus (I deal with depression every day), is to do weightlifting. Find something heavy to pick up. It can be anything; even the trunk of a tree. Squat down, pick it up and hold it squatting down slightly, bent over slightly, and keep your elbows bent a bit. Count 1-60 slowly. Your body will struggle to hold the weight after 20-30 seconds and while you battle your muscles to keep from dropping this weight, all thoughts will focus ONLY on hold the weight. This is what I do every day. Works wonders. I feel great afterwards. Have to do it 1-3 times a day to keep in focus.

I think your problem is your focus. Look at what is good in your life instead of focusing on what is bad. Look at what you have to offer others, and what others have offered you. One thing constant about human beings is change. You put your mind to it, you can change your circumstances. It takes work and perseverence. No one is going to do it for you.

remember it's your right if you ever have to fight the government if it comes to that... but my psychiatrist told me some secrets..because i worried about that too...nothing is going to happen to your benefits....when you're clinically depressed advice like think positive and all that is.....well you know....talk to the dr. about your meds....does he or she know about your living situation?..you need to feel better FIRST so you can cope and work on the problems...i hope this helps..from someone who knows and wants you to get better...
