Christians Read this~?
Why do we try so hard to change other people, show them the righteous way. We Judge others, call them homosexuals, liberals, ungodly. You know who you are. But when someone looks into your character and find a worse sin, you tell them "who are u to judge" Lets look into ourselves. Where is the love and undying compassion that jesus tought us. Where is the tolerance and grace that we admire and serves as the roadmap to our beliefs.
Lets stop to criticize others. LEts stop looking at the Homosexuals, and Muslims, the liberals and the ungodly as enemies. LEts take the plank out of our own eyes and fallow jesus for real this time. Lets treat everyone with Love and compassion. Only in this way will we be able to make a real change. Lets start being the light that jesus wanted us to be. Lets be an example to all and then with love can we help them overcome their shortcomings. This is the way it must be, lets start our mission to bring to all God Kingdom!

Thank you, thank you. I say something similar to this almost every night that I'm on "Answers"--just in a shorter way. What did Jesus say were the two most important Commandments: Love God with all your heart and mind and soul, And love your neighbor as yourself!!!!!
I have been away from my religion for a number of years, but I will always remember that I was taught that the way to proselytize was to live a good, Christian life, and others would come to you, asking why it is that you are the calm eye in the middle of the storm, the one at peace. And then that's when you tell them your "secret"--that your faith is your salvation. (And I was raised as a Catholic, all you kooks out there who think that Catholicism is NOT a Christian religion!!!!)

PS Where are all of you people coming up with this insane notion that Muslims want to kill all Christians???? Mohammed (the founder of Islam, which IS the Muslim religion for those of you who are uninformed) thought that Jesus was a pretty cool guy, he just didn't see Him as the Son of God, but as a great prophet!
I've known many Muslims in my life who expressed no interest in killing me or anyone else for that matter! In fact, they were, for the most part, deeply religious, caring, loving people. Can we please, please, please stop the bashing of Islam, Muslims, Arabs, etc? (I know it makes them easier to kill if we do not think of them as "humans"--dehumanization is a military tactic [ie. "gooks", "ragheads", "slant-eyes" etc.]) I am so very, very tired of looking to this category to read intelligent questions and answers, and hearing this bigotry night after night. Sometimes it makes me feel there is no hope for the world.
I'm toying with the idea of returning to church, but not if it is filled with racists and bigots--I want to be taught what Jesus said: "Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto Me."

Sure, Jesus pointed out when people were sinning sometimes, but He could; He's God, for Heavens sake!!!!!! He didn't tell us to run around and police others morality or beliefs. He said, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." WE are ALL sinners!!!! Do we want some nosey butt telling us what WE do wrong? No, of course not! I don't remember a word from Him about homosexuals, either. (Since they are born the way they are, and "God don't make no junk", do you want me to believe that in the womb a "choice" was made by these individuals to commit a sin????)

As the words of the ol' hippie song say, "Come on people now, smile on your brother, everybody get together, try and love one another right now".

absolutely agree with you. However, we are also supposed to call a spade a spade. I don't recall Jesus ever pussyfooting around the issue of sin and candy-coating the Truth. He boldy came up to the people who were out of line in many cases and told them what was what. Yes, in the case of the woman in adultry and the Samaritan woman and others, He was gentle and kind and did not accuse, but I recall the words "ye brood of vipers" out of His holy mouth a few times as well. We can't judge, but we also cannot let the sin skate by unaddressed.

I agree we are to treat others well and to love each other. However, part of love is not condoning activities that would cause injury or other problems, and I know of no worse fate than not going to Heaven. It is this concern for others that causes me to share the Gospel.

I know it's hard for some to understand that you can love the person, yet hate the actions. This is how I was raised and I think it is the only way to truely love others as no one is perfect.

!!!!!!!!!!READ!!!!!!!!!!!!Well I'd like to know the same thing, because the bible doesnt say it is our job to change people, it says to spread the gospel, "go ye into all the world and preach the gospel", not "go ye into all the world and change people", God gives everyone freewill to choose, and the bible says there are only two decisions, life or death, life in christ Jesus. "I am the way, the truth...." He did not say i might be the way, "no man cometh unto the father but by me". "except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish" Jesus spoke more on HELL than anything else, and you know why? because he doesnt want us to go there,"For God is willing that none should perish, but that all should come to repentance" theres so so so so so much more in the bible, if you'd like me to show you where it talks about certain issues i can help you. Dont hesistate to ask.

muslims are sworn to kill those of us of The Christian Faith. That makes them the enemy in my book...Homosexuality is an abomination in the eyes of God. If you are of the Christian Faith you know this. But I have not heard of them as a "religion" swearing to kill all of The Faith. So at least they are not, as a group, the enemy.... I have heard self proclaimed liberals say that the death penalty would be OK for christians... but as a group they too are not the enemy... And I know many un-Godly who are , by the worlds standards, very good people. I do not concider them the enemy... But I will never trust any who have sworn to kill all Jews and those of the Christian Faith... islam is The Enemy....

You have a beautiful point and I agree wholeheartedly...

We must show love if we truly want to gain numbers and gain strength and spread the gospel.

And love is not condemnig anyone...

How many people did Jesus condemn?

Where on earth did you crawl out from to get such an idea? What make you think christian criticise other people. Aren't you criticising without first finding the facts.

As Christian, I don't treat people as enemy. I only know I am save that's all. So please get you facts straight first before criticising Christian.
