I'm a 13 year old male, and I need help with my upper chest. It looks more feminine-like than a regular male chest. Could weight affect this? I need some tips to improve it. Thanks in advance.

All of your answers are decent, I don't know which to choose! So, I'm leaving it to vote.

Don't worry too much about it, the male chest starts to get larger between the ages of 15 and 18. The rib cage expands and the shoulders broaden. If you are worried and want to start working out, standard gym class exercise (if the still do it) will help. Sit-ups, push-ups, chin-ups and so on.

Well, without getting into anything inappropriate, that may actually be what people are looking for when you start getting into dating (assuming that your not already), so you may not want to even worry about it.

But, assuming that you really want to do something about it, I would not recommend that you bulk up a lot, not at age 13. You have some years to go before you get to the point when you might want to consider that.

If you feel that you want to tone a little, then you might consider that, and that's fairly safe even at a young age.

To tone, pick a fairly light set of weights, perhaps around 40% of what you can lift if you really really try.

Do a lot of reps at this weight instead of a high weight. For example, do chest presses, shoulder presses, tricep pulldowns, crunches and pushups. But don't strain yourself by doing a few of them with a lot of weight, this will cause you to bulk up quite a bit, and at your age, it could affect your future growth in a lot of other areas.

Love as always,

Sebastian

Exercise. Good Diet. Don't eat junk food, or do it moderately. For the chest there are several exercises, like Flies (with dumbells) or Peck Deck, or more advanced Bench Press. The easiest way to start shaping your chest to look more like mine* (joke) is to start doing pushups. Here's what, do as many pushups as you can. The next day do that number again but do 1 more. Continue this trend, it works. Don't forget to eat lots of vegetables and meats. Good Luck.

Get on a weight bench and do chest press exercises that are heavy enough for you to do 8-10 reps.

Pushups, about 10 to 15 per day three times a day. Then build up your reps. If possible do the same with pull-ups. Good Luck

You are only 13 and you may not be done growing yet. Give your body some time to see what happens. And if you inpatient, work out. Push ups, bench presses, butterflies, ect....
