Try weaning yourself off of it. You did good by recognizing that you have the problem. Every day, or even week, just try to have a goal, and eat less and less as the weeks go on. Replacing foods with high sugar content with fruits and vegatables. Like trading a Coke for a smoothie etc. Also, try not to buy as much, if you buy one item, then that could be the limit. I hope this helps, it worked great for me.

Fill yourself up with healthy food. Pick some filling fruits to eat as a snack rather than junk food! Good luck.

The more you eat, the more you will want . They are loaded with carbs and fats and when we eat a lot of carbs then it perks our blood sugar, drops it again and it we have the need to eat once again.
Learn to control your junk food intake. Replace the sweets with things that are either sugar free or even with fruit. Replace the chips with snack crackers or baked chips
Remember this, just because you are replacing them with things that are better, it doesn't mean that you can eat a lot
It's not want you eat, it's how much you eat.

Try arranging your shelves differently. Make healthy foods readily available by putting them on the shelves that you see first. Buy healthy foods that you will enjoy. For the occasional junk food, try buying things with less preservatives, from a coop or natural foods store. Then store them out of sight, so that you can have them periodically but they are not the first thing you see. Out of sight, out of mind... eventually. Don't try to eliminate all 'junk food.' Moderation is the key.

Make it harder to get to junk food. Remove them from your house and your desk at work (if applicable). Make a pact with yourself that if you are willing to get dressed, drive to the store, walk all the way to the back and around the store, you can have it. Don't overdo it. Snacks, like everything, is fine in moderation.

I agree with the others. If you're on your own, just don't keep your cupboards filled with it. That's all it takes. That's what I do. I don't buy any food that's not good for me. If you're under your parents rule, then ask them to stop buying it! Fruits are great, and so much better for your sweet tooth.

OK, occasionally reward yourself with a treat. But DON'T STOCK CUPBOARDS!
