Yes its true that Hell does not exist for Jews (A concept I never fully understood)
But the concept of Hell is the same for both Christianity and Islam. Yes, Hell is eternal separation from God. BUT that does not mean there are no other torments.
I much prefer the concept of Dante's Inferno. It uses irony in dealing punishments and doesn't rely on fire. Matter of fact my favorite chapter in all of literature is in that volume. When Dante enters the 5th circle of Hell he enters the "Forest of Suicides". He sees hundreds of trees with the bodies of suicide victims hanging from the limbs. Dante finds out that people who died by their own hand must live in the trees (Outside of the bodies they had forsaken) while demon run around snapping off their branches. Dante says, "Oh reader, if you disbelieve, this is no cause for wonder. For I, who beheld it myself can hardly believe it."

Hell in Islam
The wicked disbelievers who deny the revelations or scorn them have another fate. On the Day of Judgment these evil-doers will know their fate and bite and gnaw at their hands in fear (25:27). They will beg for another chance to live a better life on earth (7:53). They will be dressed in an iron prisoner's collar, manacles, and chains; they will be dragged by their hair or feet through boiling water and then thrust into the Fire (40:71-72, 55:41, 76:4).
As they approach the roasting Fire they will hear it roar and pray for their destruction (25:11-12, 41:94, 70:16). They will try to escape but realize that there is no way of escape (18:54). Their guards will drive them back with hooked rods of iron and say to them, "Taste the doom of burning in the Fire that you used to deny" (22:22, 32:20).
Every morning and every evening they will enter the Fire (40:46). After the Fire they will be drenched in boiling fluid that makes what is in the bellies and their skin to melt (22:19-20, 55:44). Between the Fire and boiling water they will eat the fruit of the Zaqqum tree that, like molten brass, causes a seething upset stomach and then they will gulp down large amounts of violently boiling water alternated with icy cold water (37:62-68, 38:58, 40:46,56:51-55).
The guilty will beg their Lord to kill them and make an end of this punishment, but the Lord will reply, "Here you must remain" (43:77). They will wish they were but dust (78:40). But, the guilty are immortal and will endure the torments forever (43:74).
Those in torment will then beg the guards to give them a day away from their punishment (40:49). But, the guards will tell them that they had their chance and have rejected all of Allah's messengers (40:50-54). They are not allowed to relax at all and are in great despair (43:75).
Those who dwell in the Garden will call to those in the Fire to say that "We have found the promises of our Lord to be true. Have you also found his promises to be true?" (7:44) Those in the Fire will cry to those in the Garden to "Pour water or whatever else Allah has provide you on us;" but the Garden dwellers will say that this is forbidden (7:53).

i am a Christian. The way I have always viewed hell as is that it is complete separation from God. You take out every wonderful thing that God has created and basically you get hell. Hell is the alternative to choosing Christ, it is not a punishment, it is a choice. it's a stupid choice because i mean hello it's hell!!! The Bible says that those in hell will cry out for even a drop of water on their tongues and yet it will not be given to them. if u need more info or if u want me to be cleared feel free to contact me!! I'd love to discuss this more w/ you. also, thank you for approaching this topic in a non hostile way!!!
God Bless!!

In the Quran, the Book that Muslims follow, states that hell is a extremely miserable place. Only God can judge who goes to Hell based on their deeds and intentions. If a believer goes to hell they will eventually go to Heaven. The Quran describes Hell as a place where we will be laborers and who ever goes there will drink hot goo and eat something called Khazn, which is kind of like a cactus.
God tells us this to persuade us to stay on the right path so we will hopefully go to Heaven.

The word hell is translated from the Hebrew word "Sheol" and the Greek word "Hades." They both translate out to mean "the grave."
The fiery burning tormented forever hell is a fictional place invented by Satan to mislead people and lead them away from God. God doesn't want people to come to Him out of fear, but out of love.

Similar to the "without God" sort of way as ppl will be praying thousands of times a day for God to accept their pleas or to have their suffering reduced.
Just some highlights: there will be a tree that provides food of fruits that are like devils heads and barbed so they stick in the throat, drink will be a boiling mix of puss and blood, or extremely hot or extremely cold water, and your skin will be renewed rather than scarred so that you continue to feel the wrath you caused yourself when you had the chance to do good. The very least of punishment (which is only promised to one person) is a hot coal that is placed in your heel that is so intensely hot that it causes your brain to boil.

We believe in Paradise and Hell. Paradise is the abode of enjoyment which God, the Exalted, prepared for the righteous. The blessing they enjoy there, no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard of, and no human being has ever imagined: "No soul knows what comfort is kept hidden for them, as a reward for that which they used to do." (32:17) Hell is the abode of punishment which God has prepared for the unbelievers and the evildoers. The torture and horror in it cannot be imagined

I think the physical hell is not yet in existence. The spritual hell is seperation from God. The physical hell is the eternal lake of fire.
