i am trying to jar a bunch of pears but i dont know how or what to use.

Mariposa had a very good answer. Also, any good, basic cook book like "Better Homes and Gardens Cook Book" should have canning recipes. Not to mention that you can just enter "Preserving Fruit" into your browser and see what you get.

my mom bought this book called Canning for Dummies. she got it through barnes and noble, had to order it. but it had a lot of really good tips and stuff like that.
