They tried a hip refacing to buy me time before thr and did not measure correctly for the prostetic, incredible pain and now on social security.

First, if you are a VA patient, then you must have served in the military..so thanks for all you did for our country. I used to work at the VA hospital in Charleston, SC. I strongly advise that you write a letter to your senator that outlines all that has happened to you. You should include copies of your medical record and if possible a letter from your current doctor that documents the mistake that was made. No one is as powerful as a senator is when it comes to patient rights in the VA system. His office can advise you as to your rights and the next steps you need to take. Most VA hospitals and clinics also have patient representatives that can discuss your case. I'd also send a letter to the Chief of Surgery and the Chief Medical Officer at the facility. Make copies of all these letters and send one giant package to the VA offices in Washington DC. I'm sorry you are suffering.

I AGREE WITH CHAINSAWMOM. I HAVE A BROTHER-IN-LAW WHO HAS HAD HIS SHARE OF MISERY WITH THE VA IN HIS STATE. HE HAS A COMPLETELY CLOGGED ARTERY IN HIS NECK AND CAN'T GET THEM EXCITED ENOUGH TO DO A THING ABOUT IT. THEY BELIEVE HE HAS ONE GOOD ONE AND THAT WILL HAVE TO DO. HE'S BEEN FIGHTING THEM FOR A LONG TIME. HE FINALLY GOT SICK RECENTLY AND COLLAPSED ON THE TREADMILL DOING A TEST AND NOW HAS 4 HEART BYPASSES! THE DOCS TOLD HIM TO FORGET THE VA. HE HAD IT DONE IN A COMMUNITY HOSPITAL AND IS DOING MUCH BETTER.
IT'S A DISGRACE WHEN YOU VETERANS SERVE YOUR COUNTRY AND GET KICKED IN THE NADS LIKE THAT.
WE MAY NOT BE THERE FOR YOU BUT THANK YOU FOR BEING THERE FOR US!!! SOME DAY THERE WILL BE PAYBACKS...
