I saw a movie on National Geogrqaphic channel. They said that to each Jew letter responds some number and when you write the name Ceaser Neron in this numbers and sum them the result is 666. Have you heard this theory? Do you think that emperor Neron could be the inspiration of making 666 the devil number (in fact, he is one of the first Christianity haters)?

Oh my. The rabbi says that the number is the messiah. The number 6 represents the physical world reaffirmed by speaking it three times. The number one is for God or they spell it G-d. Hmmm. I am more inclined to accept that it is the physical world that represents the Beast in the flesh. That is why it has been said that the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. Natural disasters of a physical world in turmoil. When there is a storm the animals know. We are still as the animals or the Beast or part there of. There is a storm coming uno. Others say the beast that was and is not and yet is is an entity or energy. We are on a planet that is energy or entity. Much of this is pure science and misinterpretation of warnings of a future demise. The rapture is for a few chosen and the meek shall inherit the earth yada yada yada.

You're an idiot. There are no "Jew letters," the closest thing is Hebrew letters, and the New Testament wasn't even written in Hebrew! You're thinking of Aramaic Greek, which the NT was written in, in which yes, 666 more or less spells out Nero Caesar. Nero supposedly had burning Christians in his garden instead of torches. I disagree strongly with this practice - it only encourages them.

Actually, one of the guys on that movie, Doug Batchelor, has the answer to that - from the Bible.
There are many people whose names add up to 666 in that manner, but only one that fits the rest of the prophecies. Where can you find the name VICARIUS FILII DEI?
(It's NOT Satan).

I know this will offend many people but the number of 666
is on the Pope's Crown.
The Latin words he has on his crown "In place of God" or something to that effect...take the Roman Numeral Letters only and add them up...to 666
Maybe he's not wearing the crown today but they have it
in the Vatican somewhere.

I think this theory is blasphemous. You could think up many other ways to lable someone with the numbers 666, but it doesnt mean they are the antichrist. Please dont fall victim to the stupid propoganda meant to scare you into believing in christ, find him on your own.

I have heard very convincing evidence to suggest that the original number written is actually 616, and it was garbled in the many copies, re-copies, and translations made over the years.
