From my reading God is very sutble and may have fullfilled the promise irrespectively of our view. We appently inherited a knowledge of good and evil but we have no capacity to percieve rightouness this is quite another thing. I mean regardless of our opinions God will do what God will do.

Here is my guess of what is happening.

Archaeologist have established that the Cananites and Israelites were genetically the same. Cannanites were multi god. Israelites were ready to listen to one God.

The land was promised basically because the landlord was sick of the tennants.

Prophecies abound about Israel being re-established.

This can never stirckly happen (with the current view) as the Jews are primarily of the tribe of Judah, Jew is an abreviation of Judah. In later biblical times there was Israel and Judah as seperate nations (they did not always get along).

To fullfill this prophecy we need all the tribes.

Where are they?

I believe that if genetic tests similiar to the Archaeology done earlier were done now we would quickly find that the prophecy is fullfilled and the current incarnation of Ísrael' is acxtually Jews and Palestinian combined. I think it would be found that the palestinians are actually fairly indigenous.

A prophet who is unpopular with Jews and Islam alike said 'know the truth and it will set you free' (Jesus).

All through the scriptures we have examples of God fullfilling
promises and the drama of humanity not making the best of what God has given. Basically because we focus on good and evil (ie our apple eating perceptions) rather than rightousnes (Ie seeing God in the current situation as it is and making the best of it).

If you are horrified at my suggestions then you are part of the problem.

Israel cannot loose, If they are wiped off the map then all Christians better reevaluate their beliefs. The Bible has never been proven wrong, and it says in the Bible Israel will never be taken. It may be the end times I suggest you get right with the man!

Has anyone ever asked God? Think if they have, they'll all get different answers to suit their own position ... think God must be a politician ... tell people what they want to hear ....:)
