I am looking for a program to take the place of an actual school binder. I am in the 8th grade and i have a mac book. I am going to get a mini scanner and printer (does anyone have an idea of any products for a mini scanner and printer to carry with me?) and scan all of the papers that i get and print my homework out.

Yes!
There is a program perfect for your needs.
It is called "paperport", and it is for precisely the kind of thing you want to do ... scanning in and keeping organized, documents.

It is a bit expensive however.
Perhaps your parents won't mind springing for it, the below link has it available for students at a reduced price. You might search and find it lower, I don't know. The academic version will be cheapest for you, and usually has the same features.

I don't know of any other programs that do anything near to what Paperport does.

The current version is 11.
I have and use version 8 and love it.

If money is an issue, you may be able to find an older version that is more affordable, on ebay. I wouldn't go back farther than version 7 though.

Hope this helps.

OOOPS... I didn't check to see if it's Mac compatible ... hopefully it is.

I know Microsoft Office used to have Binder to hold programs together.
