Yes, and actively trying to bring it about...

I'm a Christian, and I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, I can't wait to get to heaven, and see all of those I've lost along the way. I also can't wait to have all the answers I've always searched for.
On the other hand, I hope it's not coming tomorrow, or next week. I'd really like to have kids. I also wanted to be a published writer. I'd like to celebrate my golden anniversary with my husband. I'd like to quit smoking. I'd like to see all of Europe, and the Middle East. I'd like to stand at the tip of South America, and have the Pacific Ocean on one side, and the Atlantic on the other. I'd like to go to Africa. I want to learn at least ten different languages. I want to be a better person, a better Christian.
Can't do any of those if it's the end of the world. I know it's stupid, and yes, going to heaven does come first. I also realize it won't matter once I'm dead, because either nothing will happen, and I'll find out I was wrong, or something will happen...and it will be amazing.
So I don't know. There's no way to "make" the end of the world come, it'll just happen when it's supposed to. And not a minute sooner.

Silver Linings and a Cross of Gold
Posted on Tuesday, July 18, 2006. It turns out there's an upside to the current conflict between Israel and Hezbollah—if you're waiting for the second coming of Christ. Here's a selection of excited messages spotted over the last few days on the Rapture Ready/End Times Chat online bulletin board. By Ken Silverstein.

Praise God! We are chosen to be in these times and also watch and spread the word. Something inside me is exploding to get out, and I don't know what it is. Its kind of like I want to do cartwheels around the neighborhood.

In another thread, someone brought up the fact that the kidnapping of the first Israeli soldier that started this whole thing was on June 25th and if you count from that day to August 3rd.......it is *EXACTLY 40 days!!!!!*

I find that to be a HUGE coincidence.

A question just popped in my head. Do you think children of around say 7 or 8 (but before the age of accountability) that have been indoctrinated up until that time by their parents religious beliefs will be raptured? . . . For example, would a 7 year old muslim be raptured? I know G-d will do right but I was just wondering everyone's thoughts. I hate to think of kids being left here.

Got that dancing feeling on the inside of me.

This is the busiest I've ever seen this website in a few years! I have been having rapture dreams and I can't believe that this is really it! We are on the edge of eternity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whoa! I can sure feel the glory bumps after reading this thread!

I too am soooo excited!! I get goose bumps, literally, when I watch what's going on in the M.E.!! And Watcherboy, you were so right when saying it was quite a day yesterday, in the world news, and I add in local news here in the Boston area!! Tunnel ceiling collapsed on a car and killed a woman of faith, and we had the most terrifying storms I have ever seen here!! But, yes, oh happy day, like in your screen name , it is most indeed a time to be happy and excited, right there with ya!!

I am excited beyond words that the struggle of this life may be over soon and I can finally be FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

This is so exciting....I'm having a hard time believing this is 'real'!

Christians are excited, but they have a long long wait ahead of them. Christianity will be long gone before the end of the world comes.

I am so excited, that the waiting is almost unbearble. I just want to be with christ, and be out of harms way. If a christian is not excited, well, then, i am sorry. It is the greatest jy i have ever had KNOWING that i will be with Jesus on that beautiful day. No storm clouds in sight, and forever praising the eternal father for ever.

They can't wait for it, that is why they refuse to acknowledge global warming or the dangers of nuclear weapons anything they can do to speed up the end of the world as we know it. Man destroys the world and "god" gets all the credit.

and what about all the children? when christians tell their kids that the world will end soon they are essentially saying "you have no future".......how sad

In the grand timeline we're only here for a moment anyway.

James 4:14 Whereas ye know not what [shall be] on the morrow. For what [is] your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

Bring it on.

I don't think we call it "excited" but we do ANTICPATE it and because of that we are ever vigilant and ever hopeful that it will happen soon. We know that it will happen because the signs of the times are everywhere. I appreciate the opportunity to let you know how I feel. The bible says there will be wars---rumors of wars---earthquakes in diverse places----etc. We know that the book of revelations is being fulfilled and we watch and wait. Which was what Christ told us to do when He left.

I'm a Christian. Mixed feelings, I guess. Wanting to see Jesus is pretty strong, but end won't come easily for people and that of course bothers me.

Yes. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
