You won't find many answers here that even understand what you are talking about.By all the publicity and government attention they get you would think they were at least 20% of the population. We are forced to have our children subjected to their life style and are expected to embrace it.Why,why indeed? In most states in this country it is still a criminal offense to practice homosexual sex.

Actually, most researchers put the number of homosexuals in America at around 12% percent of the total population. Which means that 1 in 9 are pushing their "lifestyle" onto others. I am not gay, but I don't understand what this big storm is about. I'm not worried about my kids being "converted" to the gay lifestyle, so how does this affect me. I live in South Carolina, and don't understand why so many of my neighbors are so deathly afraid of those that are slightly different from them. I'd much rather like to see my neighbor's stop imposing their damn "christian" beliefs onto me and my family. Just because we don't happen to be Baptist like the 75% who live in our county, doesn't give them the right to try to convert my children to their sect or to chastise me for having the "wrong" beliefs.

I can't believe some of the comments I read about this issue!! Whether I am gay or not JUDGE for yourself because I have never had anyone force their gay lifestyle on me. Exactly what does that mean? Care to explain? I think that are more important things to worry about in this world than someone being gay. I am a open-minded person about most anything I have put in front of me and being the mother of 2 beautiful girls, if one or both become a lesbian I will love them anyway what is wrong with that? I am sure to get mean and rude comments for what I have said but, who are any of you to judge......

Really? Seems more like 95 to 98 percent of America's population is hetersexual, and 30 to 40 percent of them want to force THEIR lifestyle/beliefs/religion on everyone else.

I've never met a gay person who tried to force me to become gay.

Most gay people just want the same rights as every other American and to be left alone by the fundies and the homophobes.

The only people I've ever observed trying to force their lifestyle on others are Christians.

Could it be that 2 to 5 percent of America's population is gay? I wholeheartedly agree it is a"lifestyle"...they are NOT born gay.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

We know it's an abomination to God and when God created man, He did not create an abomination...

Genesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.<<<<<<<<<,NO abominations there if it was good.

They don't and I don't know how you could possibly make such a ridiculous statement and be live it. What are you talking about? No one is forcing their gay lifestyle onto anyone else.

Your figures are also very conservative, 2 -5 percent is reported but there are many who don't come out.

I don't think that gays force their lifestyles on anyone. I think that it's the other way around. Many conservative people think that it's a choice to be gay and it's their God given right to try to change these people. If you're into changing people how about working on all of the straights who are child abusers, wife beaters and adulterers.

I've never had a gay person try to force their lifestyle on me. I'm not sure what makes you think this.
