my 15 year old daughter is a good girl. she makes good grades, is polite......however, she tells lies. to get out of trouble, or to make herself look good. she doesn't think she has a problem, but she has caused a couple of her friends to be mad at her. how can i help her. she doesn't really want to listern

I highly doubt she'll listen to you. Not a lot of teens actually listen to their parents, and the thing is, she has to learn through experience. Even if you do lecture her or talk to her, she's either not going to pay attention or she's going to forget, but if she learns the hard way, she's going to remember for life. There's really not much you can do, except lend her a shoulder to cry on when she realizes what she's been doing is wrong.

A teenager will never listen to their parents, no matter how good the advice. This probably started with the very first teen and still is the fad today. We didnt listen to ours so why should they listen to us? But by not listening to you, she is about to learn a valuable life lesson the hard way. Having a few mad friends should be a wake-up call for her to change her ways. If she doesnt heed the warning, she should soon have no friends and find out parents dont feed their kids bad information,but right now there isnt much you can do or say to stop her until she figures it out herself. At that point, I suspect that the only friend shes going to have is going to be you and should bring the two of you closer together. Just hope she figures this out before she gets into really deep trouble. Sorry, I wish I had some quick fix for your problem, but you are not alone in this. Good luck and be patient

I used to be like that. Tell her that when ever you lie someone will find out sooner or later. This might be a bit harsh but when she lies take something away from her or don't let her go out with friends. She needs to be shown that you can't proper from taking the easy way out.

i know it will be hard but kids will be kids. Eventally she'll learn her lesson, when shes ready to talk to u she will talk to u
