i wont answer not a true christian however i must say action speek louder than words why they in there? most of these so called christians couldnt even tell you any real thing about the bible other that the famous liners such as john 3:16. It said that 87% of america claims to be cristian in some way or another if that true then why do we have so many abortions when GOD calls it canabalism? why does every one cheat on thier so called special partners when GOD says that will get you a one way ticket to hell! I agree with you why are there so many christians in jail tell you what ask one of them to give thier life ti christ not just in prayer but in thier walk through life or ask them do die for the cause of Jesus Chrit i bet the % of so called christian would almost go to 0% and those who do take up this challenge theyre the ones who probably made a really bad call ive seen even christians make mistake due to special sercumstances. Not that that is an excuse it just go to show they were just religious or luke worm as we call it oh i mean not really a christian!!!

I guess it all depends on your definition of the term "Christian", doesn't it?
Funny, the prison ministry I was part of a few years back encountered a great many people who either had not been Christians before, or who now wanted to find true faith. There did seem to be a great many black muslims, and yes, even a sprinkling of atheists who just wanted to use the time to get out of their cell.
That's just my experience, though. Maybe next time, you could list your statistics, and give us your source?

They were not Christians upon entering jail. A "true" Christian would not have commited murder, theft or rape. Many people claim to have "found" Christianity as a way to try to get a lesser sentence for thier offence. Jeffery Dahmer found Christianity in jail, as did Karla Fae Tucker. Dahmer is thought to have killed at least 25 people. Tucker killed 2 persons and was executed for that crime.

I'm going to give you a very unpopular answer.
A lot of "Christians" think they can do whatever they want, because they've been "born again" and have been forgiven.
Apparently it's not important to strictly adhere to the Ten Commandments. They'll excuse themselves with talk about only being human, "sinners", etc.....the usual thing you read on here.
I won't listen to that rot. Some of us have no problem following those Commandments (me), despite the fact that we may never step foot in a church.....except for weddings and funerals.
So, go ahead people.....let the flak begin.

There are a couple of possible answers here. First we have the unfortunates who were convicted of crimes they didn't commit. Second, we have those who were converted after their conviction. Lastly is the fact that everyone makes mistakes, even Christians.

They want an excuse to practice homosexual acts perhaps because it's such a taboo for them on the outside..inside they have the perfect excuse maybe! That's my theory so just try to disprove it!

religion is just an excuse for pity and a reduced sentence. if they were true christians they would accept their fate and not whine about it so much isnt it interesting how they cant find a church after release?

We are all sinners, we all make mistake, even conscience ones. It happens, Christians are NOT above wrong doing, they are human and fallible too. You didn't know that?

Can you use your religion to get out of jail.I don't think so .And why should you spend your time worring about them. They can say what they want to and try to fool us ,But they cant fool God because he knows whats in their hearts and that's what matters.
