live their life always trying to help others, never hurt anyone, never had a harsh word or bad thing to say to anyone, and loved everyone but wasn't saved how in the world is it fair that he doesn't get into heaven and the scum of the earth do if they "repent" when the other person has nothing to repent?

You just described a few people I know and Love.
Surely God judges the heart, and not the scoreboard at the end of our life. I know I wouldn't want to go to a heaven that didn't let these very good, very humble and loving people in it's gates.

I think all of what you do on earth doesn't matter without having repented... because where do you get the will to do all of it? It tells that plainly in the bible in 1st Corinthians 13 or 14... Scum of the earth definitely won't get into heaven, even if they "repent", they don't mean it, because they didn't live the way God told them to, and them "repenting" is basically a lie. People who truly love God will be the ones who will be with Him in His Kingdom. Hope this helps!

First of all, THEY aren't going to heaven. They were promised eternal life on Earth. Not heave. Second of all, knowing that Christ died for your sins and you rejected him means that YOU KNEW a way to eternal life and you turned it down. 'nuff said.
ps, he has nothing to repent? how is that possible? NO amount of good works can "repay" a debt that was repaid by christ. And no amount of good works could ever repay what Adam lost, that is, Eternal life. I don't care how hard you work, you couldn't EARN that. Only by God's grace, and Christ's sacrifice. If that makes you unhappy. Simple. Don't accept it. Just don't.

You're assuming they won't get into heaven. No one knows for sure who does and doesn't. Even Catholic dogma states that it is possible that non-believers who live good lives will get into heaven.
Is religion fair? Of course not. It's not created to be fair or understood completely. We'll just have to see how things work out.
(I only mention Catholic dogma because it is considered the "harshest' of the Christian faiths, and also the oldest.)

Nice idea, but try to live that for even a week. You'll find yourself resentful, not loving *everybody* and maybe even lying here and there. Despite best intentions, we fail to be completely good. That's why we're all imperfect and equally sinful, even if some of us never commit such atrocious acts as murder or rape. And imperfect is imperfect. You can't be 99% perfect....period.
No offense to your grandfather, but I know he wasn't perfect. Nothing short of perfection will get us into Heaven, no matter how good you try to be. That's one of the beautiful things about Christianity - it accepts that fact that we can't be good and doesn't hold us accountable for our own salvation!

It doesn't work that way, no matter what anyone tells you. Think of it logically, because if there is a God, She must be logical, right? Do you really think that if She is loving then She would send a good person to a fate of eternal torment? Of course not. That's a load of hogwash, so don't listen.

That's just the way it is. Jesus promised His children a place in Heaven if you accept Him as your personal savior. Let Him into your heart and worship Him.
He loves all of His children, but you need to accept Him as your savior. Not just believe in Him or be good. It's not that simple.

if there were such a person then they would have never had sinned and then they would be perfect and the Bible says there is no such thing as a perfect person other than Jesus. and you cant get to heaven asking for forgiveness you still have to believe in your heart and confess with your mouth then you will enter into heaven.

It wouldn't be. That portion of religion is purly mad up by man, to get numbers in the church. Through numbers is money and through money is power. Would a Budist go to Hell for having faith in Bhudda? (who ironically has the exact same story as Jesus)

I'm not one to prove or disprove the existance of heaven. It's not my place.
But what I believe and what I have read on religious stuff, I have concluded to myself that heaven and hell are social constructs to scare people into obedience.
