I have heard that this helps with the delivery process. Has anyone ever used
the ice cream and did it help? When should you actually give the ice cream,
when the dog is panting, onset of labor, or during labor? They usually don't want to eat at all during labor. Any suggestions from people who have used the ice cream would be helpful.

That is ridiculous. Any calcium in ice cream (which is probably very little) is outweighed against the sugar. The last thing a laboring ***** needs is an upset stomach. Offer lots of fresh water and a high quality puppy food if she is interested. Do not believe old wives tales, they are called that for a reason. If they were proven true, they'd be called medical fact.

I don't think dogs should have sugar...and don't forget that when the puppy's are old enough for their shots you have to get the wormed. all puppy's are born with worms...they get through their mothers milk...I've read about it on the web. A little exercise may help...it does with humans.
