I'm not sure if there are any. They may just have to remove your gallbladder. I thought that was the only treatment for gallstones. That's what happened to me. Last year I had I stone to get out of my gallbladder and block my bile duct. They tried to just unblock the duct but my gallbladder was loaded with stones. My doctor told me he stopped counting at 40. And apparently it had been that way for awhile because my doctor also said that the gallbladder itself was beginning to breakdown and was turning into a sludgy type matter. But maybe my case was just an extreme one. He said I would not have lasted much longer with it.

There really arent any short of having it removed. I suffered with mine for a few years not really knowing what it was. Once I was diagnosed, before surgery (for 2 months) I was told a low fat diet, no salad, small meals, and lots of water. Mine was very bad too when it was removed, over 100 small stones and "sludge". So glad its gone now! Was also told that moderate coffee drinking could help and would also stop some stones from forming.
